DH and I planned for 2 weeks vacation the end of March/early April ten months ago, but decided at the last minute a little sun and sand was in order! With less than a month before our trip to Antigua, I had to work with what I had on hand with a few last minute updates!

The two pairs of shorts are the only non-gear shorts I own and they have already seen 2 summers. The white ones come through the wash beautifully, but the black ones are starting to look a little faded.

The chambray/Jean shirt (#1)is super soft and comfy, but was a little warm for the Carribean. The blue and white cotton print top is supper lightweight and perfect for the heat and humidity. It was worn buttoned up on it's own, and as additional cover-up from the sun when thrown over a basic tank top (#2 + #3). The windowpane check tank is new and from my spring capsule (#4) and was a little 'dressier' so I wore it in the pm twice for alfresco dinners. The loose and flowy top (#5) was a last minute purchase picked up along with the black and white cotton tanks. Canadians will know the source, jokingly referred to as the GT Boutique. The tanks hide bra straps better than any other tank I could source, and the top was my favourite for it's loose fit and airiness.

Black tank and yoga capris (#6) for cover-up over bathing suit. Black cotton Loft dress (#7) for dining out in nicer venues. A little plain, and definitely in need of nicer footwear. I just couldn't find anything appropriate with limited time to shop. I wasn't alone though! DH joked that it looked like Toronto when one night we counted 4 other black sundresses at the restaurant!!

Moment of truth! I've had the Rebecca Virtue bikini for 5 or 6 years but it is for vacations and gets worn maybe 8 times each year? The second suit is 2 orphaned pieces bought for mix and match. The Roxy bottoms are older, and worn with the top from #8 until I got the top in #9, which is an underwire with no padding by Nygard. I like to be in the water, and hate anything that doesn't dry quickly. The new top is bra sized and so comfortable! Wide spaced straps and a flat clip in back.

All this, and workout gear fit into a roll-aboard carry-on.

Comments, suggestions welcomed. In particular, when replacing shorts should I be going a little shorter or fuller? Are skorts an option?
Thanks for looking!
