WIW: Olive, Orange & White

I'm a little late to the party, but here's my take on Angie's post from last Friday on the Olive, White & Orange ensemble.

Really enjoyed this one....struggled as hell with taking pictures and feel that white jeans is just NOT for me!

I'm not sure why you think white jeans are not for you because I think they look very good. I like the little punch of orange with them too.

Wow, so lovely! Give yourself some time with white jeans and you may learn to love them... This seems to be true for many. You look so fresh and refined in this casual look.

I think the white jeans look good on you. You could try cuffing them for a slightly different look. Maybe you'll like them better that way. The orange shoes are great.

@Mona: thank you! I used to struggle with my liner (since I like it dramatic) until I tried the angled brush and visiting card trick...and voila it takes only a few seconds!

@smittie: aww thank you! I do love having my hair OFF my face,specially since it's so terribly humid in Mumbai

I'm sure there are others who don't know what this trick is. Explain please....or give a link? Very interested to know how to get that dramatic winged liner too!

Hahaha! Ok so here goes... I'll attach a picture of the angled brush I used. I think everyone does one now - I used my Sigma Small Angle E65 brush (MAC 266 works great...so does the Sephora angled eye brush).
So you take any visiting card or thank you card or basically anything that's got an edge and has some stiffness.
You place that on the outer edge of the eye,lining it from the bottom lash line up at an angle towards your brow (just where the tail of the brow ends). Dip your brush in whatever liquid liner or cream eyeliner you're using and then draw the wing touching the edge of the card as dramatic or subtle as you'd like! It's that simple ☺
You get a very clean and crisp line and it will match both sides! Hehe!
You can do the same thing with your pen eyeliner too ofcourse... you won't even need the brush ☺
P.S. - you can use a sticky note or a post-it instead of the card.

I like the combination, I think you look lovely! But I vote feel free to pass on the white jeans if you want to. I never understood all the love for white jeans on the forum myself, they're just not right for me personally.

There was a time I used to love my white jeans (I was about 20 pounds lighter than I am now!) and absolutely LOVED how this one looked in me... it was a low rise and cropped n blah blah...but 3 years down the lane with the weight gain and sudden hatred for low rise bottoms I don't see myself wearing these at all

@CJ: I absolutely love color in my wardrobe as much as I love my neutrals and black & white... you should definitely try and get a colorful bag or a bright shoe...maybe that will help you ease in color into your own wardrobe ☺

This outfit is great on you! I like the short top and matching belt with the white jeans. To me, the jeans look really fab on you. I like Sara's idea of trying the legs rolled, boyfriend-style, for another look. If you're not comfortable in them, though, maybe these aren't "your" white jeans. It's worth hunting for a pair that feels just as good as they look. What I'm saying is don't give up on them.

You look sensational! I do not see the problem with the jeans at all, but of course you have to be comfortable or it is no good. I love the crisp white with the olive, the slightly masculine jeans with the pop of orange and the floral bag, and of course, the amazing makeup! Wow.
