WIW: New Clarks Booties (ETA jacketless pic added)

Since I am clearly on Team Wear these days, I'm breaking out the new Clarks booties I just received. They are a little more olive coloured than I had bargained for but I don't care - I LOVE THEM and they are sooooo comfy! They will just have to be a neutral rather than a nude boot for me.

The colours are not showing up well today in the pic 'cause of the dark and dreary day outside and the lack of light - I'm wearing my teal green pencil skirt, the teal/gold/black ruffle front tank, and a gold linen-blend 3/4 sleeve blazer I've had for about two years. Technically beige is not a good colour next to my face but I think the fact that the blazer is gold, not SSB, and that the collar of the tank comes up higher, makes it workable. I've added my small dotty bag and gold watch for accessories.

Does this outfit work to your eye? How are the proportions? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Update: It's about a gazillion degrees in my office today (no idea why) so have had to take my jacket off. I thought I'd show you what the top looks like without the jacket.

Ah, Shannon, you are such a sweetie. I agree with you about the blazer. Maybe not your best colour ever, but it works here because of the blouse and it bookends the booties nicely. I really like the dotty bag with this! And your new booties are just delicious. Enjoy!!

i like the new booties! i think adding the high contrast blouse underneath makes the blazer color "work" and not venture into SSB territory.

Really like the idea of olive as neutral! Boots are so pretty. That tank has wonderful rich colors so it does draw away from the beige - no worries on that.

Beautifully done! I must admire how nothing in this outfit exactly matches anything, and yet everything coordinates so beautifully because of similar tones and depths. A very sophisticated outfit indeed, extremely chic.

As for the olive Clarks, I'd love those booties myself!

Thank you all - I've added a pic without the jacket. It's ridiculously hot in my office today so it's now hanging on the back of my chair!

Works just as well without the jacket - the boots pull out the warm flecks in the top nicely this way!

Deborah - yes, it is my sweet Kristin who usually takes my pic. She's an absolute sweetheart and actually volunteered to do this because she thinks it's "cool".

I am hoping the booties work as a neutral, even though they are on the olive-coloured side. I did a lot of walking today at work and could not get over how comfortable they were.

That's a great blouse on it's own Shannon! Now you and Dotty are ready for after-work cocktails.

Shannon, the new booties look great. I agree that the blazer isn't your best color but it fits you very well and the tank adds the color close to your face that you need.

I really like the added pic without the jacket too. Great top and skirt combo.

The colors in the skirt and blouse are SO good on you! WHen the fall comes, don't you have a leather jacket (or two) that would work in place of the blazer?

Sara - I definitely have leather jackets that will work with this skirt. I have my Gap drapey taupe one, my cognac one, my dark blue one and my purple one hubby bought me. I think they all have the potential to work with this - thanks for the tip!
