Hello ladies!
Thanks for the wonderful comments! I've always loved this scarf and was trying to find a way to make it work in my outfits. I'm not sure why it is that most scarf combos don't work for me, but glad to know this one looks good! This is my default way of wearing a scarf since my neck feels constricted most of the time!
@krishnidoux I LOVE LOVE LOVE your outfit! This is definitely a look I would totally wear. The sweater is great! And the boots!!! I tend to like slimmer-fitting tunics, mainly because I don't have a lot of hip going on, and it is really a part I often highlight when I dress. I did notice your tunic is longer, and I find that this combination works on the example you showed me. I'm thinking that maybe I should extend my tunics about 3 inches below the bum as it is most flattering (and secures coverage of the lady parts!)
@rae Yeah I only really wear ponte pants, and they are the pull-on variety because zippered or fly-front waistlines add unneeded bulk on my tummy. I'm not a huge fan of just plain leggings unless I'm layering it over a dress (which I do in winter). No camel toe action going on - but I do try to wear tunics as opposed to just longer shirts. I guess with this one, I had a long tank top and top that just happens to go past the bum!
@Sarah A The Scarf thing bothers me - because I really only do this twisty drapey thing (not sure what it's called) as seen in the picture. Any kind of knot seems weird to me - I often feel that it's emphasizing my large bust! I saw a video a while back about tying scarves though! And with regards to the leggings as pants concept: I ONLY really wear leggings and dresses! Pants just don't seem to suit me at all.
@Beth Ann Yeah lady parts coverage is something I'm picky about. One of my pet peeves is seeing teenage girls walk around in leggings and short tops. Yikes! I guess it will depend on the material. I only really wear thick leggings because I like the structure as well as the look and feel (ponte never wrinkles either!).
@Angie Thanks! I'm working on becoming a scarf whiz!
