WIW & K/R AT Toppers - YouLookFab Forum

The first three are WIWs--do you think the long vest works over the tunic or is better without? I haven't gotten much wear out of the vest as I initially thought I would. Hoping I can make it work for fall since it didn't get worn at all over the summer. The third photo is what I'm wearing today (bomber via Twice.)

Looking for some feedback on a few toppers I picked up from the AT sale that Tanya posted about. (The navy vest and a pullover should arrive later so I will post on those later.) I'm showing the denim jacket with faux leather sleeves and the poncho--two items I thought might update my fall/winter wardrobe. I'm going to reserve judgment but am curious what you think of them. Both are comfy and can be layered under. The jacket is PM and the poncho is M in regular.

I really like the poncho on you, Kelly. It looks like it could be really versatile for your climate.

The denim jacket looks good, too, but I'm not as sure about the collar -- does it feel fussy at all? I have a jacket with leather sleeves like that and I like it a lot for fall/ winter as an indoor topper. The subtle colourblock effect is pretty useful at times.

The vest totally works with the tunic to my eyes.

Thanks, Suz! I'm glad the vest works. I was very unsure but wore it anyway because it was too cold to go without anything but too warm for a jacket. Glad the poncho got a thumbs up and you are right about being practical for my climate. I was unsure on the length--thinking it might be too short but not sure. The fabrication of the jacket is nicer than any of the other denim toppers I've owned. It's not at all stiff or binding. Very nice, overall. I will have to try it with some tees and see how it works.

Could you order the regular poncho and compare lengths? It might be better on you or at least you might prefer it. I don't think this is "too short" but I can see what you are saying; it's sort of long sweater vs. true tunic length somehow.

That shirtdress looks fab on you - really suits you, both in shape and colour.
I like the poncho too - it looks really cosy and has a slightly oversized look that seems very modern to me.

Love the shirtdress, and it looks great with the vest! Love the poncho. The mixed media jacket is nice too. Can we see it with other shirts? But I really like the poncho. It seems totally "you."

Great versatile shirt dress, Kelly, and I like it with the vest, too. The jean jacket is great and the leather sleeves give it a modern edge! The poncho looks fab and the size or fit looks good to me...I ordered that piece, also, and need to post some photos, but I liked mine better with the zippers both pulled up some so that it fits more like poncho than a vest, if that makes sense.

My favorites are the shirtdress with the vest, and the poncho. I am not sure about the mixed media jacket.

Poncho! I adore ponchos, that's a keeper for sure. I'm on the fence about the denim jacket, I am very picky about denim jackets, many of them fit me boxy. Mine is Kut from the Kloth and it has a slight taper fit to it. Unfortunately I picked it up a while back so I have no link for it. I also find that a light wash denim jacket works best (at least for my wardrobe) because then it can contrast nicely with dark wash denim. This denim color is already on the darker side. Is that ok for your wardrobe?

Love the shirtdress Kelly. I have a slight preference for it without the vest, but do like it with. I also like both toppers... however.... I think the poncho would be better a smidge longer, more for versitility than anything else. I assume this is the same as the one Denise ordered? I think a fit somewhre between the fit of hers and yours would be ideal. And I'm not keen on that denim jacket with the top you have it on with. I think too much top hangs out, but mainly YOU look stiff and uncomfortable in it. How did you feel? Can you try it on with other tops?

You scored well from the sale. I like both the vest and new denim jacket. It may be just the pics but sleeves look a little big on denim jacket. Can you scrunch them?
