Here's the first Kitchen Sink ensemble I came up with when I was playing in my closet. Plaid pants, b/w lace print jacket, and diagonal striped b/w tunic. I really like this combo, both the proportions and the pattern mixing. This is an indoors only outfit, as we had a big snowstorm yesterday which means that I had to wear snow boots (#3) and change into other shoes when I got to work (see photo #8 for an example of why!). So the oxfords in the first couple of photos are actually placeholders - the ones I'm actually wearing right now look really similar but are a cooler grey which I think goes with the outfit a bit better.

Anyway, after I put on all my outerwear to brave the snow, I realized that was its own handknit kitchen sink ensemble, lol. I have my sheep fair isle hat, green/yellow colorwork mittens, and a variegated rust-toned blanket scarf (to tie in with my brown snow boots). Plus the stripes from the tunic peeking out under my coat, and the plaid pants. So that's FIVE patterns right there (overachieving, I guess).

Bonus snow photos. Yes, those are birds in #9, in actively falling snow. They did fly off soon afterwards, I hope to somewhere a bit more sheltered!

Outfit details (indoors version): Bellatrix jacket, Caslon tunic, Joe's plaid pants, Born oxfords, MZ Wallace bag. (outdoors version): CK coat, handknit scarf, hat, and mittens, Sorel boots.
