I read Rachylou's NAS post before I ate breakfast.  She mentioned hipster donuts, so of course only hipster donuts would do this morning.  I decided to let Rachy's inspiration extend beyond breakfast to what I wore, so here is my best attempt at country waif.  Please note that my donut coordinates with my outfit.

This afternoon I actually WILL be working in the country at a prairie heritage site.  Normally I wear grungy clothes because I work with the archives and get dusty and dirty (The papers and photos were previously stored in a chicken coop. PSA, chicken coops are not good places to store historic documents.)

But today I'm lending a hand with a historic interpretation camp.  It's press day and all the actors will be in the period garb, so that's my excuse to wear a dress.  This look also reminds me of Museumgal's recent post about summer dressing. It's a no-brainer when I want to look nice in 100+ temps.  I also like that the ties at the neck and waist allow me to mess with the silhouette.

Thanks for looking!
