Hi Ladies,

I'm a little obsessed with Eileen Fisher and have been watching all their online videos and I could buy...everything!!

So today's outfit is my version of the EF look wearing Aussie brands

The culottes and sweater are from Aussie chain Suzanne Grae. The sweater is a lot like an EF one I have seen but can't find the pic. And the culottes were wide leg pants I had shortened.

I could seriously wear this "look" every day. I haven't lost my love of a skinny leg but I have certainly rediscovered a love of a fuller, wider silhouette. (I have just added a denim look culotte to my collection!)

Thanks for looking and yes I lost my head lol. Worst hair day ever

Lovely elegant look. I have admired the top before, and then discovered Suzanne Grae has pulled out of NZ.

I love the textures here and the sheen of the necklace and the thin black bracelets add a lot to the look.

Oh, and came back to say, this post inspired me the most ever ON EARTH to EVENTUALLY get myself a pair of cullottes, too!! Are these a ponte fabric? Or rather woven? Wich would you suggest me more?

Lyn you are always so kind! Trust me, the hair did not look good lol
I now have three pairs of culottes and they are all knit fabrics. I find them comfortable, they flow and drape beautifully and are easy care. I do like a woven culotte but so far haven't found one for me. Knowing your style, I think a ponte or jersey would be ideal.

Deborah - wow, wow, wow!! Great outfit!! perfect proportions on the top/pants!! Also killer sandals and perfect for the whole outfit. I can't see why you never want to take it off!! But I have to smile on you being off skinnies!! More leggings for me!!

I'm enjoying the metallic look to the top. I've seen similar in SG lately, but didn't feel they suited me when I tried them. You have me inspired to find some drapy/ flowy culottes.

This is perfect, and reminds me of your style when I first joined YLF and saw your pictures for the first time. The slight lift given by those fantastic sandals really elevate this look (no pun intended) and add that extra bit of polish and sophistication. I am scared to death of culottes but am willing to give them a go this summer if I can find some nice drapey ones like this.

So nice! Is this the oversized/oversized cropped look everyone was so down on the other day? I saw a girl on the tram in similar wide pants, a big fur coat and Dr Martens today. It totally works on the right woman.

You've lost your head completely. It's alarming!

Love the "soft drama" here --- very flattering. I love the subtle iridescence, the slight edge in the shoes and bracelet. There is also a "I don't try too hard, but I still look fab" quality about this type of dressing that I really like. I must find a pair of culottes this summer!

As for EF --- I always imagined that I'd be wearing head to toe "arty" outfits like this by the time I reached this age. I wanted that Georgia O'Keefe / Martha Graham sort of drama. Perfect for a singer and voice teacher, right? But I don't look like you at all when I try these silhouettes. I look like I'm wearing ill-fitting surgical scrubs, or menopausal pajamas. It's tragic.. I really must have you style mix and see if I can make it work!

Approprio thank you! I must have missed this discussion? Or are you referring to the blog post?? As it cools down I love wearing my ankle boots with these.

Beth Ann if I EVER look like in wearing menopausal pyjamas... You MUST tell me lol. I guess it's really about finding proportions that work for you. I can absolutely see you in culottes but more so a winter version with boots

Cerinda, yes and they are so old. I recall buying them after my son was born and he turns 13 tomorrow!!

Fabulous, and definitely an EF look.

Those pants are perfect cropped...probably not nearly as flattering when they were full length, and with those sandals...very elegant. Great accessorizing too.
