LOL on teenage daughters. Or sons for that matter. Mine attracted a lot of stares, particularly Punk Rock Son and Goth Daughter. Yours has a nice teenage edge without being bizarre. Love her top.
You look great too. Good colour combination, and it sounds like a really workable formula to me.
There was nothing wrong with your shoes yesterday. They were unconventional, which always evokes a reaction. You just have to decide how much reaction you want to live with. I kind of struggle with that myself, to tell the truth. I like having something surprising going on, which automatically means some people aren't going to like it. How much of that am I prepared to deal with? There's no one answer to that either. Sometimes the conformity is important (I wouldn't want to dress in such a way as to put my husband's colleagues off at an official function, for example. That reflects on his professional reputation.) and sometimes it isn't. Sometimes I feel flamboyant and it's a little fun to punch people's buttons, and sometimes I feel like being low-key. I do like finding a way of being a little different in a way that delights people more than shocking them, as a rule. Of course, some people are too easily shocked.
