WIW: Giving my BF another chance

Haven't worn my Gap sexy BF's lately since I've been preferring my other denim styles, but thought today would be a good day to try them again 'cause in case you didn't know already, I'm not one to give up easily!

I'm wearing the BF's full length with heeled booties to try and elongate my leg line, as I do find the BF's can be a bit "stumpifying" if I'm not careful. I've added my green cashmere sweater which I'm totally in love with - it's like a cashmere sweatshirt. I've done a small semi tuck so that some of my animal print belt can show. I'm using my oversized snakeskin clutch for a bit more texture and pattern. A simple outfit for a casual Friday.

What do you think? Does my BF deserve to stay? Does this outfit work in terms of proportion? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Shannon you are persistent:). I think this looks great, and you may know that I don't love BF jeans BUT this tendentious is very attractive. I like them full length, it really changes the whole look this way. The green is a really nice colour for you and the accessories are prefect.

I admit, I am not a big fan of unrolled BFs, as I think unrolling them takes away from the look, but you have done a tremendous job here, making them look fun and fresh. YLF.

I think you've done a great job stying these. However, I have to be honest... I don't think they are as "you" as other things you've posted. Not that I know you, but they don't make you sing like other things do. I don't know what it is, but I notice this because I have the same thing going on with me. I'd love a pair, but they just don't feel right on ME.

I think this looks good, Shannon! I like them unrolled here, even though it is harder for me to appreciate unrolled BF overtop boots instead of tucked in.

I think the sweater providing the soft shape really helps. The colour is excellent too.

I don't find the BFs as conventionally flattering as some of your other outfits, but you've styled it perfectly and it looks absolutely intentional.

Thank you ladies - I definitely agree that the BF's are not conventionally flattering, especially on a petite apple. I think that's been one of the main problems I've had with wearing them. And I can absolutely appreciate the fact that wearing BF's unrolled kind of takes away from the fact that they are BF's.

I like your BF jeans unrolled. Personally I think BF's are a little harder to style in the winter. Rolled with sandals is how I want to see them (and wear them) so I struggle more in the winter. Love the color of your sweater.

Shannon, I find these more "conventionally flattering" than many other looks that you do brilliantly--- booties with longer skirts, volume over volume. This has a little structure and a little drape, which helps it flow over the body, and you look great, and very relaxed and comfortable.

I keep going back to my bfs because I love the way they feel -- the room in the them and the laid-back mood. I think they make me feel more relaxed and I am SO ready for that!

well. killer says it all. sometimes our simplest looks are our most stand out ones. casual done right takes effort and it shows here.

I love your BF this way - I wear them like this myself with boots quite a bit in winter. And that sweater is FANTASTIC on you. Love the accessories and love how you do such a great job at describing what you are wearing and why (like why you chose to semi-tuck) as I think it's so helpful to newer YLF members.

Beth Ann - thank you for your analysis of why this works - "a little structure and a little drape" - maybe that's the mix I need to find.

Rae - I definitely prefer the BF's worn this way. I think because my legs are quite short and I'm bigger in the hips and thighs, having that roll at the bottom cuts my leg make it look shorter and heavier. Wearing the jeans unrolled gives me a longer leg line but I still have the comfort of the jeans.

Una - I was smiling this morning when getting dressed knowing you'd get a kick out of my BF coming back into my life!

Very nice Shannon. I love you in the BFs and the colour of the sweater - is it a cross between a green and turquoise? Hard to tell on the monitor but I love it.

I love how they look full length Shannon! I have been enjoying mine this way as well, though they are technically too short. The semi-tuck also gives you a little bit of extra structure. A fitted top and jacket would also look fab with your pants styled this way!
