Hi Fabbers,

I really am a pants girl, but I love a black dress, and I realised today that for the past 3 days I have been in dresses. I think it's a reaction to our looooong winter lol because I normally wear a dress maybe one every two weeks.

They are all black! Similar but different. Someone (edited as I just realised it was Suz who asked the question.. sorry Suz) asked in a post recently about variety and I realised that the variety for meis in have similar but different options. I don't need a selection of say different coloured dresses, rather I need a selection of black dresses with varying design details

Those are gorgeous Deborah. I can't pick a favourite. I love your all black outfits. How do you keep your black from fading and match all your black shades? I just noticed that my black pants and jacket weren't all the same fabric or color I suppose it doesn't matter unless it looks like it's supposed to go together.

I like dress nr.1 and 2 very much! Especially nr. 1 - I like that shape. I wish I had a dress like that, for my Autumn challenge (wearing more dresses/skirts). As always, you look very stylish.

Wow, wow, wow! All 3 are smashing! Think you need different silhouettes for the same clothing item- a formula which works so easy and chic for you!
In regards of dresses I am not that lucky, I find knee length shift to be my most worn options...so then, I need the same cut in different colors/details...The same goes for my skirts(that is a good pencil) and my pants(cigarette or rolled to ankle pants), too.

You are beautiful in all your dresses, Deborah, though I think I am partial to 1 and 2. Having said that, 3 is also wonderful and would be such a great dress for travel -- very versatile.

I would say you get variety through silhouette and texture for the most part. For you, the idea of ONE little black dress to rule them all would be very depressing because that would take the fun out of it!

These are all beautiful Deborah (of course!) but #1 totally blows me away. How fab is that!

And I know you're going to find this really hard to believe, but I also have multiple black dresses... but mainly for summer, which actually makes sense, as I wear dresses far more in the summer.

These are all great but I especially love #1. I think I'm similar to you in that I need similar but different options for my variety. I'm happy wearing sweaters and skinnies all winter but need a variety of sweaters to choose from.

Yes, what happened to Spring and warm weather?
Still, you are looking so Fab in these dresses- we either need to be creative as you are here or die of boredom with our Winter choices at this point!

Suz, in my fantasy world, one fab black dress would be lovely but in reality you are correct... I need lots ha ha

Elizabeth, multiple black dresses.. you??? LOL I think we understand each other rather well:) I actually wear more dresses in Spring/Summer than winter but thankfully a lot of my dresses are transeasonal.. and in the bad weather a dress rarely seems practical.

Lyn D you are so right! I am border line style depressed at the moment. Today, tho, we have sunshine and 23 degrees and have worn culottes and a very cool new white shirt/tunic 'thing' with a vest... feeling quite refreshed and inspired.
