Here is my final outfit (#1) with the jacket I wore over it to get there (#2).
I added lace to the bottom of the dress at the last minute as it was too short (#3) - it was not too noticeable, and certainly less noticeable than the gap would have been.
I bought stud ear-rings (#4) - not as sparkly and blingy as I would have liked, but ok.
For comparison, #5 is the budget dress I tried that I didn't like when the straps were on - it made the material pucker at the top and #6 is the dress I wore before I added the lace at the bottom.
I couldn't afford to spend enough to get my absolute perfect dress (and couldn't afford the time to find it either) but was happy enough with what I did. And the concert went well!
