This is what I am wearing to the farmer's market, on this grey and cold December day.
This dress was a Christmas present from husband a couple of years ago. According to his presents, I have great legs and/or an executive job. I have neither .
I am wearing leggings to feel comfortable: the dress is really short!

PS- I look stiff because I AM! Went to the gym after years yesterday, and all my muscles are hurting...

The sweater dress is beautiful and it looks fab on you. DH has great taste if this is the kind of presents he brings.

I love this dress! It is mod, yes, but also slightly arty and very flattering. Leggings keep everything warm and comfy, too!

What I refer to as "executive items" are a couple of stiff button downs. A white one, especially: it's the kind of shirt that every woman is supposed to own, but it's too fussy for me and white is not really my color. But in my imagination a CEO of some company could wear it.
Now that I think, last time he was with me shopping he convinced me to buy a pant suit. That was a really smart buy, as I have used it a lot, both separately and together. I don't know in his mind what is my job, though...

Great dress, fine gams. You don't need an executive job for the pantsuit or the white button downs. Or, I hope you don't, otherwise I've got the wrong closet.

You made me giggle, trying to figure out who the gifter sees you as vs. the reality of your life...

Happens frequently enough to me that I formed a re-gifting group at work for immediately after the holidays. Anything that is fine, but just not 'you' gets the chance to be claimed by someone before the remnants go to Goodwill. Even non-clothing items go into the offerings, i.e. smelly candles, neon headbands, ANOTHER? throw blanket?!!!!...

My DH and I always have a giggle over his mother's choices in gifts for me. I always say she's buying for the type of girl she WISHED he had married!
