It's the crunchiest of crunch time, still, as I get ready for my first and biggest holiday show of the year this Saturday, while simultaneously managing online orders. I've been wearing my coziest, comfiest, easiest clothes for crafting like a madwoman.

However, I took Angie's challenge to heart, and today I'm wearing my olive drabs with some shiny lipgloss and these brand new gold-toed boots. They make me happy every time I look down at my feet. I don't wear the hat inside obviously, but it'll go on when I run out for

Thanks, Angie. These are my first mid-height booties in a long time, and I'm looking forward to when I get a chance to play with them more. They're crazy-comfortable straight out of the box. I was wearing them around the house today to break them in and totally forgot I even had them on when I went out this afternoon.

DianeG, I know these are basically sweatpants, but I'm going to pretend like the pattern and slim cut make them okay for wearing outside. Thanks for humoring me.

I was so tempted by those boots earlier in the season but I ended up passing because I prefer a taller true mid calf shaft height. I'm so glad to see someone else got them! I may still cave though, especially seeing how great they look on you.

I like those boots! I often like 2-toned metallic items as more of a "toe in the water" (!) metallic than full-on.

The boots! Too fun Patterned sweats look good enough for wearing out, especially when the rest of the outfit is actually considered as you've got here (versus throwing xyz sweats/sneaks on). Magic hats help, too.

Do you make wreaths out of sheet music, too? I do have one of those angels made of an old hymn book, but I've never seen this sort of wreath. Lovely!

Diana, I think I've worn these boots every single day since I got them. I was standing on a marble floor in them for 12+ hours on Saturday, and my feet didn't even get sore.

Beth Ann, I sure do make wreaths out of music! A few years ago, I went to a garage sale where a guy had a whole box of hymnals from the 40s and 50s for sale. I'm still working my way through them, and the hymnal wreaths are one of my most popular items. You were right about that book, too!
