It is so hard to believe that my Ellie girl should have been 16 today! I miss the teenager that I never got to know almost as much as I miss the 9 year old sweetie that I knew better than my own self. Every year, I like to wear the necklace and bracelet that she beaded when she was 5. She made the necklace for herself (why it is so short) and the bracelet for me. I usually wear them all together wrapped like a bracelet. This year I split them up because TriciaW gave be this blush LLBean cashmere tee that has the perfect neckline to wear the necklace as intended. I love how particular Ellie was to make the necklace symmetrical. There are such good memories attached to this jewelry, as we went on a special date together to the bead store to make it. I am at work today, which is nice, particularly since my boss pulled me away from the office to help puppy-sit. Bruno is the perfect little cuddly diversion that I needed on this day!

PS - new Isaac Mizrahi shoes get a second wear in 4 days

ETA: forgot to mention my new black Old Navy "Pixie" pants. I sized up 1-2 sizes so they wouldn't fit too skinny. I definitely have to wear a belt to keep them up, but they are really comfy and I like the fit. * Let it not be said that one can't multitask a little fashion into their grief process!
