WIW: Dress of my Dreams - YouLookFab Forum

I'm sorry that I have still been mostly offline these days. These last couple months have been brutal, but thankfully things are starting to normalize in my world... The other day I was at Ross and stumbled upon the dress of my dreams. It's Maggie London, but I can't seem to find it anywhere online. These sheath dresses never seem to work on my body type, but I've been losing weight lately and thought this one was worth a shot... And it worked! I wore it to church today and was so happy with it. An added bonus - it is so comfortable that I could have happily worn it all day! It also matches PERFECTLY with my special new handbag that my boss brought back from Germany for me. It's a Volker Lang, and color is the most unusual shade of grey - it has a hint of purple in it and it is the softest leather... This bag was love at first sight! Bonus pic of Ethan - he has jumped on the harem pants bandwagon right along with me and is not the least bit embarrassed to be a teenager who dresses just like his mom. I actually think he would like to wear his pants out in public WITH me! This kid gives me never ending delight with his quirky ways...

You look gorgeous in the dress- love when you find something unexpected that works beyond what you thought. Is the fabric one of the jersey knits? I have a ML wrap in the jersey knit- so comfortable and washes like a dream.

Your son is adorable and obviously has amazing fashion sense! Can't wait for the mom/son harem pant photo!

Thank you both! Muffin - the dress is polyester and spandex and the fabric is quite thick, which does help hide a multitude of sins, so to speak. I definitely need to do some mother/son harem pants photos!

What a fantastic dress for you! You look gorgeous in it. It is a classic shape that suits you perfectly, and you make it look rad with your edgy hair/haircut.
Wow, a Volker Lang! Your boss gifts you the best purses, I can remember at least 3 such gifts. Is it a tradition?
Lastly, I just LOVE it when a teenager has the confidence to be different! Most kids just want to look/be/act like all their peers and I always found it special when my kids had friends who dared to show their individuality to the world without hesitation.

Chouette: It does seem to have become a tradition for my boss to give me purses, especially when she's in Europe. She also gets me interesting jewelry and gift cards to stores and her gifts do always center around fashion. I think handbags have become such a thing because she knows that she is getting me something I could never find, and likely something I wouldn't be able to purchase price-wise. She also has an eye for incredibly unique items. You should see the shoes she brings back from Europe and wears... To die for! Thank you as well for the kind words for my son. It makes my heart SO very happy to see how individual his style is, and how confident his is to take it out into the world - especially the brutal middle school world!

Your hair is also getting long - and you indeed are looking slim and trim ...although you always did That dress is fit perfection, and I love the bag with it.
