WIW & WIL: day off, beach walk

Apologies for the awful WIW pics. DH took them on my phone. I'm outside his art studio at the back of our land. I'm wearing Lorna Jane tights, Bonds tank, Lululemon jacket, and Ryka runners that I bought in the US. They are the most comfy runners I have ever had. I wish they were available in Australia.

My backpack, which I love, is le sports sac so very light and perfect for exercise. It's covered in a fab Hawaiian print.

The main reason for my post was not to show you my boring exercise outfit, but to show you where I live. The first pic is a beach called Rainbow Bay and the second is Snapper Rocks. It's a famous surfing spot but there wasn't much surf today. Never mind, it was such a glorious day!

Oh, I love the beach! I wish I lived closer to a beach but right now a 12-hour drive makes it a once yearly summer trip.

Beautiful beach photos. Your backpack adds fun to your exercise outfit. I don't think it's boring , with the bright blocks of colour. You look comfortable, too, for enjoying a day off.

Since I was a child, I have always wanted to live near the beach and when I was in my early 20s, I took the opportunity to move there.

Kerry, my stylist originally cut my bangs, but mostly I cut them now and she tidies them up every 8 weeks when I get a cut. I use very small sharp scissors and cut very tiny amounts at an almost vertical angle. For styling, my hair has a slight wave so I always blow dry and then use a GHD flat iron.

I rarely get jealous of people.....but I truly truly envy you. That's such a beautiful place to stay!

Sigh....someday I'm going to have a house on the beach too...and I will look out of my kitchen window while making dinner to see the sun set in the ocean. Now that's a dream worth working really really hard for!!!!

While India has a long coastline on 3 sides, sadly I live in the North where there are no beaches at all. I know most people love mountains, but I was born in the mountains and have never fancied them as much as the beach.

I digress.....you live in heaven! And I absolutely adore your backpack too....

Maneera, sadly I don't live on the beach, but it's quite close, about a 3 minute drive. We do have water views of the inlet, which are pretty, but not the surf beaches. Houses on the beach cost 3 million plus and there are very few these days..most are torn down for apartment blocks.

Nevertheless, I share your dream...the ultimate for me would be to live right on the beach. I will have to keep buying lottery tickets.

I can imagine that the mountains where you live are quite beautiful. I would love to visit India one day.

Thanks CocoC. Actually I have a CRAZY dream....I want to find a place where the beach and the mountains co-exist. I love the beach....my husband loves the mountains. So some place where we can spend half of our free days being beach bums and the other half hiking/driving in the mountains would be perfect. That would be true paradise, won't it? I doubt anyone would ever get any work done there!

But your home sounds beautiful to me. I don't mind the fact that it's a little away from the beach if you have water views. I do believe living right on the beach comes with its own challenges.....which is why I will always love beach resorts to enjoy the beauty and not worry about the mess!

But no harm dreaming. Maybe you and I can swap homes for a week! Hahaha! You visit India while I live in heaven!! I do live in the national capital, so it's crazy, noisy and overcrowded but doesn't have any rural beauty of India. Rather, this is a concrete jungle...and I secretly hope to sell off this house soon....just as soon as I can find that dream home destination
