I feel silly writing this post! Because I thought I didn't have dark red in my closet. In reality *... I have 2 tops, 1 skirt, 2 handbags and 1 pair of shoes too. This is what happens when you have a fairly large closet ... you forget what you have o_O

When I saw Angie's ensemble today, I loved the luscious colors and the high contrast outfits that Angie had created. I have one pair of light blue pants but that didn't quite work with the deep red top I wanted to wear. Finally I pulled out my tube skirt (Forever 21/old) and paired it with the embellished deep red tank top (TFNC London/old). The skirt is more burgundy but the difference is not quite visible even in real life unless seen very closely in sunlight. Together the skirt and tank looked like a dress Ha! I could now recreate Angie's first set of outfit (dress and denim jacket) in the ensemble And here it is!

I threw on the denim jacket (H&M/old) for coverage and warmth. Hopefully, it also helped in debombshelling the tube skirt. Beige cap toed flats (Ecoflex/old) for some more debombshelling and lightening the outfit. And my white studded handbag (Steve Madden/old) finished the oufit.

I wore this for DH's birthday dinner (with family) and to attend another kiddie birthday party before that. I was comfortable and felt adequately and appropriately dressed. I am happy to report DH loved the *dress*

Now over to you all ... what do you think? Did I manage to make the skirt look less va va voom with the denim jacket? All comments for improvement are welcome Thanks for looking as always x
