WIW: Crazy Mornings Linen! - YouLookFab Forum

My 3.5 yr old has started his first year of formal education! Yesterday was his first day of school. There were lot of tears but finally he seems to be settling down. Phew! With that, has started the early morning school rush. Getting the two under 6s ready and out the door by 6:45 am is no easy task

These outfits have little to no thought involved. Sloppy crazy morning style at its best! I get flat 5 minutes to dress o_O even thouh I am up at 5:30 am! Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon and I would dress better. We are still peaking 95F early mornings. I am lugging around kiddie backpacks and lunch bags plus an upset 3.5 yr old. So comfort was the most important factor.

#1 - Worn for the first day of school. I am sure I was more anxious than my little one! The top is supposed to be sidetucked ;). I am wearing my white linen pants (F&F) with an oversized cotton striped tee (Mango), white sandals (old). Animal print bag (Guess) for nitty gritties!

#2 - Today was less crazy! At least I had time for a proper semi tuck! Same white linen pants (F&F) with a floral cold shoulder top (local brand) and striped clutch (old/no brand). Same sandals as yesterday to finish the outfit.

Done and done! I need to start laying out outfits in the night to avoid the morning madness. But the last couple of nights have been mad too! Oh well!

Not my favorite outfits but it served the purpose well. I was comfortable. What do you all think? Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thank you for looking as always x

6:45?!!!! I can't believe you look so great! The crisp white adds a lot of polish.

FWIW, my DD's old preschool teacher advised parents to have their kids wear to bed what they would be wearing the following day other than shoes, of course, which can be a battle in itself. I never had to do this, as I only had one and not two, and she was pretty docile when younger.

5:30! I bow down. You look so amazing, you'd never know you hadn't spent an extra 10 hours getting your beauty sleep. And these are fantastic hot day outfits! You look effortlessly chic and easy. Love them both equally. The clutch with the floral top is inspired!

DonnaF - DSs have uniform for school (complete with button down shirts). I am not sure they would be comfortable going to bed in it. Although it is such a great time saving advice for the mornings! Wish they didn't have a uniform!

Suz and Mary - I think the wardrobe that I built with the help of YLF has not let me down :). That is the only explanation! And those sunnies hide the tired eyes ;). I should invest in more of those ^_^

Suz - I don't remember when I last slept for 10 hours straight! Lol!

Back from morning school run and DS2 was very upset yet again. The separation is the most difficult part. He does enjoy the rest of the school time. DS1 is well settled thankfully!
