I realized when I put this dress on yesterday that it is likely the oldest thing in my closet - I bought it when the venerable Eaton's was going out of business in 2001. I still love the menswear pattern, quality and cut off the dress, so I kept it all these years even though it was put of fashion - until this year! Now I have been enjoying it all over again.
Kept it modern by wearing it with my animal print heels and a chunky necklace. I've noticed that I love pairing animal print with traditional menswear fabrics like check, pinstripe and herringbone. That juxtaposition and subtle pattern play is everything!
