After reading Angie's wonderful post about appreciating the pear shaped silhouette (http://youlookfab.com/2011/09/.....ilhouette/) I thought I'd be brave and give it a try myself and wear an outfit without trying to balance things out. I wore my new jeans instead of camouflaging with a skirt and additionally tucked my top into the jeans. I swear I've NEVER EVER worn a top tucked into jeans before in public (since I got curves). And I surprisingly felt not self-conscious at all!

#1 Me in all my short-legged, pear shaped glory. What do you think? Was the experiment a success? I'm glad I did it, not because of the outfit, but because of the self-acceptance that went with it.

#2 Six new pairs of tights I bought today. They had 25% off everything and I thought I could use some new ones for fall. I also looked for a wintercoat today but wasn't successful.
