W.I.W. Button Covers & Miss Willio Dillio...

Today was such a great day. Not meaning to brag but, it was such a blessing after blessing.

CocoC my beautiful Button Covers arrived last night after I got home from work! All the way from Australia . The Star and the Moon perfect for my outfit today. The copper brown color was perfect with my outfit and was also the inspiration for it. Thank you thank you for thinking of me.

Xtababy Miss Willio Dillio arrived! All the way from Texas when I got home. She will be a perfect cross body bag. I cannot wait to style her. Thank you so much for sending her to me Xtababy. I will be wearing her out to church and housing on Sunday.

Well besides my fabulous presents from my YLF family Xtababy and CocoC my real life family of wounded combat veterans all met up for a pre taped interview for this upcoming Memorial and Remembrance Day on Monday and the weekend. The 4 of us were interviewed on Tuesday for a brief segment on what's happening in our neighborhood. The segment host Jon wanted to interview us further for an additional piece for another program. It was such a great day.

I also attended my first veterans event at our local Jessie Brown VA Hospital. I was so overwhelmed. Hearing Meosha's speak about her combat wounds and just meeting other veterans. So humbling I was just so overwhelmed with love and respect and family. I'm gonna be on a natural high all weekend. This Memorial Day weekend my heart is so full. Each of the women veterans I was around was so inspiring and the people who support us. It is such a great community of people.thank you all for being part of my community.

Now what we all came for the FASHION. I was able to wear my Beautiful button covers today. I wore a pair of cotton palazzo pants in green and black artist made. My men's embroidered whit button down has branches of copper running through it. My brown denim short sleeve jacket was great for the weather. My P.O.W., M. I. A. necklace and dangling earrings were a nice compliment. I also wore a collection of 3 pins that were also from an op shop.

First of all...thank you for your service to our country..My dear mom was an Army Veteran, and my father was career Army (serving in both WW2, because he lied about his age, and the Korean war).

Second...love the gifts!! The button covers are so wonderful, and that Armadillo!! Fun and Fab.

When and if you see a veteran this weekend in America try saying thank you for your sacrifice It is such an honor and a sacrifice to serve. So many have sacrificed at such young ages. Family loved ones and battle buddies. This weekend try to engage someone by listening to their story or part of their journey and then say thank you for your sacrifice.
