I'm back at work after a glorious week off. I am 99% better too, which is awesome because I was tired of coughing to the point of tears every 10 minutes.

Somehow this top snuck into my cart when I ordered the kimono, and when the order came yesterday, and I knew I wanted to wear this shirt today, with my new white belt!

I reaaalllly hope my husband gets me those patent Doc sandals for my birthday, because I think they would look great with this outfit!

Linen Shirt: Zara
Belt: Canadian Tire (I laugh typing that out)
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Dr Martens Amory

And yes, the sandals would look great with this. I like the overall look, but do find the shoes a bit heavy for the rolled up jeans and short sleeved top.

Love the top! I had a look at it on the Zara website. The neck seems to be very wide on the model, but it seems to fit better on you(?). Is it an issue to keep bra straps from sticking out all the time?

Spring the Ceit way! This looks great and the Canadian Tire belt is the perfect detail. I like the way you have lightened the bottom half with the rolled jeans.

Sanet, the neckline isn't too wide for a normal bra. I find it sits fine and doesn't slip to show straps at all.

Elisabeth -- yeah, unfortunately I need to have closed toe shoes on today (and will be unrolling jeans) as I am working in a lab today. So clunky shoes it is (I kind of like the juxtaposition though).

WHOA!!! This is AMAZING! I love the peek of ankle between the cropped pants and the Docs and the new shirt is just soooooo you. And yes, the sandals would be perfect for warmer weather.

I really love the bare ankles too! (They keep your bottom half from looking like you work at Canadian Tire, lol.) Love the white belt and your new blouse is stellar. Do your students know that they have the coolest teacher ever?

I always think of you as "tonal" not "high-contrast." But, how do you do it? Essentially you make white/black seem tonal. Really! This is terrific on you. I'm a sandal girl -- my little toes like to be free, so I'm pulling for the gift of sandals, even those the shoes are very stylish!
