I've been neglecting my GAP BF for my slimmer slouchy skinnies, which I prefer for their texture and distressing and fit. But today I felt like giving this looser BF another chance, I wish you could see the cool diagonal cable on the Theory crew...it's got great textural interest.

BF jeans: Gap
Crew neck sweater: Theory (consignment)
Boots: Doc Marcies (letting my inner punk come out!)
Scarf: BR (gift from hubs)
Belt: Michael K. (on wise suggestion from Jeneva)
Earrings: from my Secret Santa, Kirti.

Oh, you're cute as usual Suz. I love how the black highlights the silvery notes in the denim and the silver seems to reinforce that sparkle. Very nice!

LURVE! I am so copying this except I can't wear a scarf with nearly as much panache as you. But I have every other element.

I love this! I've been recklessly wearing square scarves this winter too. But Una is right, you really have a flair for this look. I LOVE faded wash jeans with a black sweater! They really set each other off nicely and this is no exception. The sheen of the belt and scarf look so good together. Hubs did good (and so did you)!

Claire, you crack me up. "Recklessly" wearing square scarves. It DOES feel reckless, doesn't it? They are not the popular shape. And one risks "little old lady." But I say to heck with that. I happen to like this better than a long dangling thing that gets into my soup every time I bend over.

On the square scarf thing: my theory is that it works with my angled haircut. FWIW. It is another angle, albeit a soft one. Angles are good for me.

This is a fun outfit, Suz. I love those Marcies on you, Shannon and Vicky. I tried them a while back and they felt sooooo wrong on me.
I am also super jealous, my BFs are not long enough to wear anymore, not even with Angie's lengthening ideas.

Oh, no, Zap! I was thinking that for tall and long-legged women these Gap BF would be impossible. Even on me, they are pushing it. They are fine when rolled but don't quite make it as full length pants.

Angie, Urban Prince really helps, actually. Helps me make sense of some apparently contradictory leanings and meld them together conceptually. And is a persona I very much resonate with. I truly do believe that going forward that image will help me refine my purchases in a positive direction.
