Hello Fabbers

(Its been a while since I posted - and feels a bit unfamiliar)

I took (for me) a brave step and had a very small red slither of red put in my hair for Christmas, which I have really enjoyed! It has faded quite bit now, but there is still a tiny bit of colour. My parting is on the opposite side to the slither, so it is only seen very slightly.

I am having my hair done on Thursday and think I will have it done again. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. I have a straight conservative job, and it kind of feels like I am being slightly not so conventional!

I have also had gel nails with shellac for a few weeks. (Wow! I can't believe the shellac lasts two weeks.) I went for natural last time and have just had a deep purple this time.

Also, here is my new handbag. Navy, Radley, good for A4 papers, well organised internally and good for my commute.

The nail color is particularly fab! And I like you're hair too -- a good way to add something different and still stay work-appropriate. Beautiful bag too.

I wish there were a way to "like" everything you've posted here. I love the red in your hair--and how you feel about it. For me, something a little unexpected in a conventional workplace can be a way to assert yourself in a very good way.

I really like that bag! and glad it's as practical as it is lovely. It is a great foil for your ring.

The ring is from a local maker to where I live and it is lapis lazuli, un polished. DH bought it for me and I so enjoy wearing it.

The red streak is fun. I can quite understand the need to add a little quirky touch to your work-wear.
I really love the nails, especially the purple, and the bag is beautiful.

I havent had my hair coloured for ages and I have a lot of my deep brown colour back. I have a cut booked tomorrow morning and I will have a chat about colour. You've given me some ideas Jane. I love your red streak.! Super nails too. The new bag looks fab I bet you'll get a lot of use out of it for work and play too. Nice to see you Jane!
