Hello again Fab Ladies,

Thanks again to all the lovely comments on my previous thread posted after a long absence. I’m bumping all the remaining photos I planned to share in this thread. In no particular order, not even chronological, and although they span two warm seasons, don’t be confused by their seasonal inconsistency - we have had the weirdest summer with temperatures varying greatly from one day to the next, so wearing linen one day and leather jacket the next has actually happened.

You know I am an avid follower of both 1st YLF rule (Have fun with fashion) as well as the 2nd one (Wear the heck out of my clothes) and some of you have recognised certain pieces in the previous thread. In this one, I’d like to draw your attention to some new additions which play beautifully alongside the old favourites, but also the items I brought out from the holding zone and I enjoy them again.

1. New piece - black skirt. I wanted structured black skirt for some time and this one, with its stiff fabric, full shape, textured fabric and pockets was a score. Workhorse from day 1.

2. Old favourite - white linen skirt. In its 4th or 5th year or maybe even longer. I love this skirt more each year.

3. New piece - cropped boxy eyelet top. I actually bought it to wear it with the skirt from photo 2, for all white summer look, but it works with the jeans too. Plus, last year’s favourites - my red Birkenstock Gizeh, this particular style I will never be without again.

4. New piece - you already saw the navy tunic in previous thread. This was column-of-colour inspired look and my son chose the scarf. He took the photo too.

5. New piece - striped pants. I actually bought them last year against all my rules - they were a bit too small. But they were inexpensive and I thought the chances of running into such perfect stripe again was minuscule, so I decided they could clutter my wardrobe for a season or two in case I shift some weight. As it happened I did, more than enough actually, and they are a much loved weekend clothing item. Worn with the long white linen tunic, you might remember I had doubts about buying it last year as it was quite pricey in a second hand shop. I’m happy to report it’s worth its weight in gold.

6. Out of the holding zone - striped tee shirt. Yup, I am eating my own words - I have started wearing tees again! Don't I just love it when I figure out how unnecessarily dramatic I can be?)

7. New item - b&w top. The white colour is new snow sort of white, clear and just beautiful. And I loooove the wide black stripe on the sides. (Wishing I wore my black espadrilles, but they started being uncomfortable for wearing two days in a row. I need replacement for them.)

8. Out of the holding zone - I have always found the concept of short-sleeved turtleneck confusing at best, although I have also always loved the look if it. I got rid of the striped top of the same style, but hung on to this one. And I have finally found the perfect place to wear it - my office. Since I have full control of the A/C and the office roommate and I have have the same temperature preferences, I can occasionally enjoy odd pieces such as this one.

9. New meets old - new scarf and much loved hubby’s old white shirt (worn here 3 years ago and here last spring for my favourite musician's concert.).

10. New meets old - new striped short sleeved knitted top and my all time favourite waterfall black cardigan.

11. New item - blurry photo, but I’m posting it because of the new button down shirt. I wanted and needed new one for quite some time (BB one I have is too stiff for my current office, plus I really want to save it for very special occasions). Ever since I realised what type of collar I prefer for my giraffe neck, I have been amazed how difficult it is to find ladies button down which buttons all the way up and whose collar is not limp and small. However, I finally had a lightbulb moment and started searching men’s department. It did not take long to score this beauty. Workhorse and I feel so fab in it.

12. New item - new white jeans. Same short sleeved turtleneck as before worn with the black cardigan. (I love wearing black top and white jeans, it reminds me of a sort of chain challenge with torontogirl and Runcarla from last year.) And look - I actually took my camera with me to the elevator. I figured since that is likely to be my WIW stage for some time, I could at least make an effort and try and get clearer photos than those made by phone

Thanks for your time. Feel free to comment, analyse and suggest the improvements and variations. And - enjoy your weekend!
