If you are offended by curse words I recommend you not view the photos of yesterday's outfit.

Now that I've given the disclaimer, I'll start by saying I had planned to wear this statement making sweater with a gray and black horizontal stripe stretch knit skirt and the Gentle Souls flats I bought a few weeks ago.

Then I discovered it was colder out than I'd anticipated and realized I'd be freezing my butt off all day if I went sock-less and wore a skirt. So switched to some zingy tie dye jeans and my Zara high shine leather winklepicker boots.

So, yeah. The sweater. Probably requires some explaining. Where I work the word "epic" is so much a part of our lexicon that it crops up all the time (as does the exact phrase knit into the sweater). So, you'll hear things like " that is a totally epic initiative you are leading" or "Damn. That was an epic fail" or, as seen on the sweater..." that is simply epic and sh*t."

So last August I was at the PAX East gaming conference in Seattle. As I was walking by Urban Outfitters on my way to the conference I see this sweater in the window.

I actually laughed out loud when I saw it (loudly, even). I'm fairly certain the strangers walking near me thought perhaps they should give me wide berth because of what appeared to be a random burst of laughter from the woman near them.

So I went in and bought the sweater (full price, even).

Every single time I wear it I always get compliments and positive comments on it. I suppose you can't wear something that makes THAT bold a statement and not expect some commentary on it. My work environment appreciates the humor of it but I recognize it is not to everyone's taste and may even be considered offensive by some.

It still makes me laugh every time I put it on.
