Summer has been a little strange weather wise!!
It has been the summer of shorts for me, but I have seized a couple of chances to be more dressed up.
Pic 1. Blue berry picking on one of the best days - it was very warm. New denim shorts, an old Gap tee (three years old) plus my floppiest of hats and most casual of jandals.

Pics 3. Working and getting a hair cut. I seized the chance to wear this new summer dress (seen before in November going to a races party). I swapped out the blush belt for this black one, and wore my new summer sandals. I just got a gentle trim for the hair, but it looks so much better. I am growing out the length a little at the back but keeping it in a "short" style.
Pic 4-5 On Friday I was off to a BBQ/grill party with friends. I have worn variations of this look a fair bit over spring and summer. It is one of my more boho looks - with beaded slide sandals and a long skirt. The ink blue and cream colours make it less so to my mind. This summer all our functions have been casual/smart casual so I have had very little chance to dress up. Please excuse the chairs on the table, my 14 year old was vacuuming in the background!!
Pics 6-8. I have added a couple of bonus pictures from our recent trip to the Hawkes Bay- a beautiful spot up Te Mata Peak and Ocean Beach (actually closed this day due to dangerous swimming conditions).
