Happy Monday, to all you lovely ladies

I had a great weekend. The weather turned (for the better) and we have had lots of rain It's way more pleasant now, so I wore pants quite a bit. And I tried many different looks!

#1-2: Friday

I met an old college-time friend for lunch. Wanted to dress in something simple & unfussy because I had a rather busy morning that day. These jeans have been languishing in my closet for almost a year because they used to be an odd length (too long). I got them cropped & enjoyed wearing them with a light blue peplum top (it's knit) and very comfy navy wedges. My friend said I look better now than I did in college! (A huge compliment, since I'm more than a decade older now)

#3: Saturday Afternoon

Many of you have already seen this outfit I wore for a movie on Saturday, but just adding it here again to complete the 'weekend' series.

#4-5: Saturday Night

Hubs & I stepped out to buy some groceries but the weather was sooo lovely, we decided to grab a meal at an Italian rooftop restaurant. Turned out to be an amazing impromptu date night Btw this is my version of Angie's Minimally Fab ensemble - skinnies, trapeze style top, sandals & tote.

#6-7: Sunday Brunch

A couple friend are traveling to Europe for 20 days this week, so they wanted to catch up over a late breakfast of pancakes & frappe. I was in the mood for Athleisure. These grey joggers are new and this was their first outing. Paired with my funky hi-low hem skull print top & trusty Zara ankle strap sandals. Post bfast, I helped my friend shop for her Europe trip and had a ball!

#8-9: Sunday Night

Dinner at my BFF's. I had dressed down in the morning, so decided on this *Simple but Pretty* outfit to wrap up the weekend These grey pants have also been ignored for years. I recently hemmed them to this cropped length and quite like them like this. I'm wearing a simple black tee (it has a net neckline & sleeves) and Snakeprint sandals my husband got me from London last year. This outfit looked better IRL - dark colors do not photograph well.

And that was my weekend! The weather is still good, so I'm off for a nice long walk now. Thanks for looking. All comments/inputs/suggestions welcome.

You look sensational in every one of these. And so glad you had a fun weekend. One lesson I am taking from this is that cropping unworn trousers is a great way to give them renewed life! I also love that you, as a petite, are rocking this look for all it is worth. I really love how the cropped trouser highlights pretty feet, shoes, and ankle, yet gives a long line from top to bottom if worn with low contrast.

Love your sneakers looks as well. Your style has become simpler, more practical for your daily life, yet every bit as feminine. Brava!

Suz, I'm humbled. Thank you so much! Your approval for my evolving style means SO MUCH to me And you're right! My new solution to all rarely-worn pants is - crop them! And then wear them with either same color shoe (if you have one with an ankle strap, even better) or nude-for-you shoes or fashion sneakers. All 3 tricks (which are all on-trend too!) work well for cropped pants when you don't have naturally mile long legs.

Haha, Lisa. Well, I REALLY love black. Rs hard for me to *not wear it*. Plus, I think our bodies condition themselves according to the climate we live in. For example - I can't imagine how anybody survives in temperatures below 0deg C, let alone how they manage to stay stylish (my own experience at those kind of temperatures was horrid!)

Plus, it's not very humid right now. The humidity goes crazy during the monsoon season (July & Aug). At this time, the weather is hot & dry. That's the temperature right now ( it'll get crazy hot tomorrow again).

I've been wearing shorts, skirts & dresses every day since March so whenever I can wear pants, I jump at the opportunity because it's a 'change'.

Thanks Tanya. That peplum is one of my few 'bright' color tops It's gotten so much love here today, I think I might start wearing more peplums & more colors!

Jaime - believe me when I tell you, this peplum always looked better on the hanger than on me. For some reason, skinnies just didn't look good with it, and it's a bit too long to be worn with pencil skirts (because I usually wear a short length). It's the support act here - the straight leg jeans - that are allowing the top to shine. They fit well, create the right proportions, and look 'just right' with the shoe.
