WIW 5-1 - Well, THIS doesn't work.

I like each of these pieces but don't think they really all work together. Proportions are off with the leggings - but if I take them off, I will freeze my knees off in here. Well, live and learn.

- Sundance Catalog depression-modern frock (bleached from a dingy blue with brown polka dots into a sort of cream with tan polka dots)
- Eileen Fisher linen crop leggings
- Fidji yellow pumps
- assortment of handmade necklaces

I need something on my legs in arctic office, thus the leggings

For what it's worth, I think you look pretty fine! I'd just switch out the shoes to something darker, toning with the leggings and bookending your hair, though they are smashing with the dress itself. Which, by the way, sounds like quite an achievement! LOVE your necklaces. So pretty

I agree with ManidipaM that swapping the light shoes for something darker with make it look even better! Cute dress and I love that neckace!

Love the dress and the shoes! I think you're right, though, about the leggings. Maybe longer ones would work here? Maybe with a little scrunch down at the bottom.

I actually like it as-is... maybe the leggings look darker IRL and that is what throws the proportions off? You could try a super cropped jacket to try and create a higher leg line.

Aw, you guys are nice! As the day wears on, I'm beginning to feel like a psycho nurse... the dress is very pale. But maybe a pyscho nurse in a GOOD way?

In a good way! I'm not so fond of the leggings, but this is a perfect dress for a hot Texas day!

Ha! Psycho nurse would need to have white shoes, not those fab Fidjis. (Come to think of it, maybe that's where my aversion to white shoes comes from?)

Call me Dr. Demento, but I think Psycho Nurse sounds like a fun fashion persona. The right designer could do a whole line on this theme! Then again, I've said the same about Bride of the Mummy.

Hmmm I like the dress and shoes but not the leggings s o much. I understand the need for them, though. Can you wear some kind of hose? The dress is really pretty.

Oh man, you had me prepared for something awful. This is fine! And I love the straps on those shoes! Was the dress bleaching a happy accident or DIY? It turned out really well.

I think a lighter, tan or taupe color for the leggings will make this work. I like the proportions, the grey is just a little dark.

I like Denise's idea of taupe leggings, IK. And I LOVE the yellow shoes. Also, what about Nurse Ratchet in Clockwork Orange? I mean, don't you sometimes think you work with a bunch of crazy men? If they're a little, just a little, afraid of you it might just work in your favor!

There is a Hue legging that I just got in "pumice" that might work...the ones I found were capri length, but I think amazon had the full-length version still in stock.

IK I'm with you in that I think each of these pieces is great but I am not sure this combo brings out the best in them. The shoes are fabulous, I love them. Leggings are great. The dress, and it may be the photos, just looks a little bland. I am wondering if jeans instead of leggings might create a better line??
