WIW 3/4: Copying and Repeating, All at the Same Time!

A propos of CocoLion's post about wearing clothes two days in a row, I am so in love with my blouse and jacket from Comptoir Des Cotonniers that I wore it again today to go to the hair salon and Target. (I lead such a glamorous life!) I also took this opportunity to copy a look I've had pinned to my Pinterest board ever since I bought the fab top. I love that I even have the neutral shoes, although my belt isn't quite right. The pants are Old Navy Rock Star jeggings, and the shoes are Seychelles booties. Bag is from eBay.

Thanks for looking and commenting, if you're so moved! I think it like it best with the shirttails out. What do you think?

Love the blouse! Is it a bird print? The whole outfit is fab, great copy! I think it looks good both ways. Maybe a skinnier belt might work better, like in the picture. I love this whole outfit on you!

I love this combo, and I can see why you would want to repeat! Those look like birds to me, not butterflies, but what do I know :)? Maybe they have unusually long-winged butterflies in France?

I love it but I've been called out for having unbalanced outfits. Do you think this might work with dark shoes to bookend the black top?

My position on bookending is as follows:

1. It is always optional, and

2. In any event, my hair is light so it can be a bookend.

And

3. I am not at all bothered by "light on the bottom, dark on the top." (Which I guess is the same as 1, above.) Indeed, I like it because I think it's less expected than dark shoes.

And

4. If the light shoes are good enough for C des C, they're good enough for me!

Love the look on you - incredible copy! Re your comment on the shirt tails, it looks good on you. As a more general note/question - I am seeing a bit of this with the skinny belt peeking out from top under jacket look. Are others seeing that too?

I like the neutral shoes on the bottom. Sometimes I think dark shoes with white pants can look too stark. I'm going to try this look when it warms up and I can wear my white pants again (I have nothing against white pants in the winter, but mine look horrible with all my boots and booties. I need warmer weather so I can wear them with pumps or sandals).

Needless to say, MaryK, you look FAB in either repeat! You make a mean copycat!

LOVE the print on that top --- which I need to show my SO this, if you don't mind! I just (mis)spent a whole Saturday afternoon trying to explain to him the difference between cutesy teenybopper (printed T-shirt with sulky steampunk-esque female curled up in curlicues) and grown-up whimsy (lighthearted print on shirt; ironic excess of hardware on bag or boots). Unfortunately, the shops had NOTHING of the latter to actually prove my point. (Note to self: Okay, stop rambling!)

I really like this outfit on you! My favorite is tucked; it seems to show off your lean legs more, and I like the belt. If you wanted to stray from the copy, you could try one of your colored belts. Do you have a yellow one? I adore the neutral shoes with the white jeans, and your heeled version is an improvement over the inspiration photo, IMO.
ETA: ooh, or an orange belt, maybe!

Every once in a while I open a picture on YLF and it takes my breath away. Because there's everything I love about style and fashion in one take. So this one rates a breathless to the power of breathless from me MaryK!

Hope to see a lot more of the white jeans and the Comptoir blouse too.

Perfect copy, IMO! I love both versions, but I think that when you tuck it makes your legs look a mile long! You trump the inspiration because of the fab bag. Nice!

ETA: I like your position on bookending, too BTW.

This is probably my all time favorite outfit of yours to date. I really love it tucked (and I am Queen no tuck) You brought the Target style quotient up several notches! WOWEE.

Total awesomeness and at this point, I'm getting that blouse... I will eat my words on that over $100 and it's not silk policy of mine.
I'm doing a half tuck these days, you know tuck in the front, loose in the back.
I like the tucked and belt, as in the comptoir pic!
