WIW 2/25: Das Boot gets a new friend

Went shopping last night for some shoes to match the height of the boot, and ended up with a patent loafer from Payless. It's not the most stylish shoe in my closet but the height is pretty dead-on.

Leather pencil skirt: Halogen
Striped top: Lands End
Cobalt blazer: Eliza J
Patent loafer: Payless
Colorblock tote: Steve Madden
Whistle pendant: Topshop

I am pretty happy with this outfit, all things considered. Not 100% sure I'm loving the leather skirt with the shiny shoe, but it was too late to change and it's not awful.

Great outfit, boot and all! I love that purse (you have the nicest purses!). Having the correct heel height on the other shoe will make all the difference in the world. Your sciatica and back will be much happier.

A couple of years ago I wore a similarly darling boot for a few weeks. I found the heel height of my Vaneli 1" patent flats worked perfectly with the boot. Below is a link to a Vaneli shoe with the same heel style, but mine has a buckle instead of the ruffle.

The patent shoe works very well with the leather skirt. Loving the long blazer with the skirt too. Nicely done.

You are a genius, not only with color, but with proportions. The oversized blazer and large bag help balance the Boot, as does the loafer. I have leather pencil skirt envy.

Yes, you look very nice, as always! I am interested in your top. I had seen the Land's End rashguards before and thought they would make nice tees for regular use, as the prints are so nice. Are they comfortable to wear during the day? Do they breathe well?

K.M., I don't know that I would wear this top on the hottest day of the summer, but it's very comfortable and breathes plenty well for spring and fall. And it washes like a dream!

Thank you, MsMary! I love soft fabrics, but in the past I've had issues if they are not breathable--even in cooler weather.
