WIW 2/2: Basic black and pearls

I am right there with you, Angie, in bringing the pearls out of storage! I learned this knotting technique from Angie in this video more than five years ago and have enjoyed it ever since!

Black pants: Banana Republic
Black turtleneck: Ann Taylor
Black and white blazer: Kate Spade
Black and white oxfords: Doc Marten
Black satchel: Cole Haan

Nothing is new but hopefully the ankle pants make it current. What say you all?

Cute! The white in the pearls, shoes, and jacket lighten up the look just that right amount. I like the half-curly 'do, too!

I love the knotted pearls. Too bad I don't have a strand that's long enough to do the same. TBH, I'm not loving the oxfords here. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo since I'm looking at them straight on and can't see the side view. I like the colors however, and how they echo the light pearls.

Angie, it's so funny -- Gentleman Friend prefers my hair straight (although of course his official position is "you always look lovely!") so I'm realizing I tend to wear it curly on the days when I won't be seeing him! LOL

Another great outfit. The cropped pants and and cute shoes do make this outfit current and interesting. It's like you're very traditional on the top half and fun and trendy on the bottom. I like the contrast.

Thanks for the video on knotting pearls, I have a few long strands that I will try that with. It is fun to bring the pearls out of storage, isn't it? They look great with your outfit.
