So...Day One. Flight cancelled. No problem - we drove. Only to find that someone at the University had forgotten to book our hotel!! And the place was full. Not to mention the fact that I had about five parcels sent there. <blush>
But all is well. We are set up in alternate accommodation. Not as gorgeous as Place 1, but perfectly adequate.
The drive was about 8 hours. My BR no-iron shirt made it through utterly unscathed. Not a wrinkle. In fact, my husband's co-author mentioned when she saw me that she could not believe I had just spent the entire day in a car. Yay!
Better yet, the Report booties, which sadly, do not show in this pic, are SUPER comfortable. I actually wore them sockless because of the heat. They have a nice padding inside and were walkable for many city blocks, even carrying packages from one hotel to another. I highly recommend these booties.
