WIW 11/12 sequin leggings and ALGO

Inspired by Angie's recent post on fancy pants and trying to do a monochromatic version of this

Vintage Cowichan sweater, BalcienagaT tunic (got on steep discount, about 1 1/2 years ago), plaid shirt tied at hip (Marshall's last year), H&M sequin leggings (last year), Target leg warmers (about 2 weeks ago), birthday fuzzy booties, big floppy hat (Lord & Taylor 3 years ago).

Also realized that this is very high/low mixed look.

Yes, I think you succeeded! Their look was monochrome, too, just with color instead of neutrals. Good job! I NEED those Target leg warmers! I didn't see any when I looked the last time....must get back to Target!

I like the touch of plaid and the addition of leg warmers withe the boots and leggings. I'd like to see how this looks without the sweater, though you probably need it for your climate. As always, a visual treat and love the creativity and your fashion forward style.

There are aspects of this outfit that I think are fabulous! I love the leggings with the shoes and legwarmers. I also love the tunic and the hat.

To my eye, the cardigan and plaid shirt take away from the strength of the bottom half of the outfit. If I had the liberty of messing around in your closet, I'd have hauled out one of your killer black jackets to wear with the look. Still ALGO, but more cohesive.

Anna I so enjoy tour creativity and sense of fashion adventure. I agree with Angie's comments but keep in mind I am team dressy so a jacket would always be my preference:). However I think you have created a very cool outfit with very strong points of interest. You dare to go where I never would and I live that.

Admire your spunk and style as always.

Too much going on for me to enjoy all of the rich textures. The plaid and the nordic pattern seem disconnected, I know that is an intention but in this case I do not believe that reads. Agree with Angie about the bottom of the outfit.

I think the top needs to be cropped, to balance out the shirt. And I'd like to see the leg warmers less bunched at the ankle and maybe pulled a tiny bit higher. Also, have you considered a darker shoe? I like the plaid shirt tied at the waist. You have the right shape to pull that off and look cool doing it.

Are the pants comfortable? The last time I tried to wear a sequined anything it was so scratchy I looked like I had road rash afterwards!

I think you achieved what you were going for. The plaid shirt kind of works like a belt to raise the leg line, so I don't mind the long sweater.

I think this is fab! I love how you have repeated the colors (black leggings, black hat, etc.) to give it some cohesion, and I personally love plaid and Nordic together--a match made in heaven IMHO :). Your back must be feeling a bit better, eh?

Thanks Jonesy. The sweater isn't Nordic but Canadian First Nations.

It was my mother's and is over 35 years old. I was at Nordies with Jenava today and one of salespeople gushed about it. I think she was disappointed on how hard it would to get one. Supposedly they're quite expensive now.
