WIW 10/21-10/23: Catching up!

1. Tuesday was a very busy day-to-evening day -- I went to see "Pippin" in Hollywood with my friends whose son is conducting the orchestra for the national touring company! It was great because we got to go in the stage door afterwards and stand onstage and mingle with the cast! I felt the tiniest bit frumpy in my FFBO but I didn't have time to change after work and the evening wasn't about me, anyway...

2. Yesterday was Rotary and I wore my new fave navy track pants with a slightly summery jacket for our transitional weather. Felt good in this!

3. Today the temperature is supposed to hit 90 so I'm wearing my favorite summer skirt, maybe for the last time this year. Wearing a knit blazer rather than linen in deference to the calendar.

4. The bathroom tile is coming along nicely! I am in love with the oversized subway tile and the penny round trim!!

5/6. Helpful hint for all you DIY-ers out there, courtesy of This Old House: If you put your old painted hardware in the crockpot on "low" with some laundry detergent overnight, the paint will slide right off! Saved me hundreds of dollars on door hinges!! I swear, my contractor is a genius!

Love #2 as Angie said, it's like kicking your biz casual up a notch. The bathroom is awesome, love your taste in decor (as well as clothes/shoes/accessories, obviously).

I love your outfits almost as much as I love your bathroom. That tile work is to die for. We stripped our old paint from hardware by placing it in a jar of water and a little TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) for a few weeks. Your method is faster AND much better for the environment. You win!
