It was quite warm again here today, so I'm not ready for layering yet. But I did pull out a closet orphan and decided to work with it. I've had this kurti top for years and can't remember when I last wore it. I have to be at peace with the waist surrender when I wear it. It has a boho vibe, so I like pairing it with very non-boho shoes and bag for some contrast.
I paired it with my AG Nikki's and my holographic Jeffrey Campbell shoes. The nod to maximalism comes in the texture and pattern of the top, the flashy shoes, the colorful patterned Aimee Kestenberg bag, and a bit more jewelry than I've been wearing lately -- a double-wrap wristwatch plus chunky silver filigree bracelet, and big statement ring.
So this is me just dipping a toe into maximalism rather than jumping all in. I'm not much of a pattern mixer so I'll be aiming for balance rather than going whole hog.
