WIW 10/1 - 10/6: Work and party

I'm still not really shopping so you've seen all this before, but... it's what I'm wearing so I'm posting it anyway! LOL

1. Friday I had to be up and ready for the a/c repair guys at 7 a.m. so it was FFBO all the way! The Nine West Magic Dress from several years ago is still going strong! Olivia Moon blazer, Seychelles pumps, Banana Republic satchel.

2. Friday night I went to a fundraiser and wore another Nine West dress, this time with a little sparkle in the knit. White House, Black Market shrug, old favorite Target sandal booties, and the polka dot bag is an Angie pick from a while back! I got a lot of comments on my crazy curly hair!

3. Monday work: We finally got some cool temps so I got to bust out last year's Club Monaco culottes with my old Hinge silk blouse, Theory blazer, Nanette Lepore bag handed down from Adelfa, and Jessica Simpson olive pumps.

4. Today's look features a scarf that was another Angie pick a year or two ago. Banana Republic pants, Amber Sun green knit top, Olivia Moon blazer, Coach tote, Target pumps.

Great looks! I love the orange jacket and shoes with the dress in #1. The sandals in #2 are fab and so is your sassy, curly 'do. The culottes in #3 are an interesting change from a skirt and the outfit in #4 is a nice mix of colors.

How fun that the Nine West magic dress is still going! Looks super with the updated pumps, and really like the cognac bag pairing. Extra fun curly hair in #2, we haven't seen that in a while right? Spotty purse is a good match for curls ^^ And #3 and #4 are great fall looks for warmer weather, moody colors but enough skin showing not to overheat.

Thank you so much for all the kind words, everybody! Angie, I felt like #1 was kind of the poor stepchild of the bunch, so you really gave me a boost and I will continue to wear the Magic Dress with my head held high!

Ms.Maven, originally I did think about turning my third bedroom into a closet/boudoir, but in the end I opted for a den/ home theatre and a wall of closets in my master bedroom. (And, I must admit, there is some wardrobe spillage into the guest room closet!) I haven't shopped much at all for the past year because all my money and energy have gone into the house, but I am pleased to report that I graduated from psychotherapy this week and some of that money will be redirected to the previously-unfunded clothing budget! I am going to Montreal on vacation next week and am looking forward to checking out Danier Leather!

2nd time in a week that you've shown those basic items helping make amazing outfits day after day after day. I follow your inspiration to repeat certain things in several colors, Mary - not sure how many on the Forum do this. It's hard to find the perfect blazer, pumps or bag and when we hit on something we love it, right? #1 and #4 are my favs, but like others, I can barely get past those legs of yours in #2!!

Anything new in the house to reveal? Hope you are loving that renovation!
