Getting dressed in summer is so easy - top, bottom, sandals and call it an outfit - but hopefully simple does not mean boring. Here are three simple, breezy summer outfits for work this week.

1: 07.12.12 - This dress/tunic is basically a Big Tee. It's not quite drapey enough to wear unbelted but I love it belted. I chose shiny silver acessories. With cropped leggings and platform sandals, I felt very tall!
H&M tunic and leggings, Naot platforms, Elliott Lucca bag from Sona, gifted pendant

2: 07.13.12 - A super simple combo of fitted tee and floaty skirt. This skirt is so much fun, although I did slightly worry about having a Marilyn moment when the wind unexpectedly kicked up while I was walking home!
H&M tee, Benetton skirt, Dansko sandals, Etsy chain bracelet

3: 07.14.12 - This outfit felt very summery to me. All cotton and light and airy. Photo was taken at the end of the day which is why I'm so wrinkly! The skirt is actually, believe it or not, a size XL child's top (although it frightens me to think that some child is big enough to need a top that's big enough to fit around my 42" hips with room to spare). It had spaghetti straps that I just tucked inside and a smocked band at the top of the back so I didn't even have to alter it to wear it as a skirt. The only downside is that there is no real "waistband" so I can't tuck.
I was inspired by Janet to try a low side ponytail. What do you think? I liked it but felt like it wasn't staying put very well. I think my hair is just barely long enough to do this right now; unfortunately, I think it needs a trim and then I will probably not be able to wear it this way.
BR top, Liberty for Target children's top turned skirt, Naot sandals, Fossil bag.
