WIW- to the max- ish

I tried putting together a maximal outfit this morning and failed. I shared those results on Angie's thred.

But I ended up with a little extra time this morning, so I tried again. I remembered that after I got these culottes I thought about how I'd probably never wear them because they feel a little OTT. Lightbulb!

It took a few tries, but here's where I landed. I do like that these culottes truly come all the way up to my natural waist, unlike my cropped navy wide legged pants I've been trying to figure out.

Nice outfit. I adore those culottes on you. The pattern is terrific -- not at all OTT or overly maximal. Add some jewelry (necklace? bracelets?), a patterned scarf or a funky handbag and you go from max-ish to full max.

I like it. Not sure how maximal it is but looks really nice. I like the way it looks tucked in (and I am not a tuck-in fan usually!).

This is so great - and after seeing Sally, I want you to tie a scarf around your neck. With your lovely short hair and this chic outfit, I think the French-ness of a scarf would be a perfect extra maximal touch.

Thanks, Angie. I'm due for a haircut this Thursday. I think 8 weeks is a bit long between cuts, so I'm really stretching it here.

Yeah. I have my hair cut every 6 weeks because it doesn't grow that fast. Most shortcuts are due every 4 to 5 weeks.
