Just a few casual outfits worn for brunch, museums and errands this weekend.

1/2) Sorry for the super-awkward pose in the first pic - I was trying to show off the asymmetric hem on the sweater. The second is one my DH took while we were in a museum. I was comfortable for brunch and an afternoon of walking around town. EF skirted leggings and sweater, Timberland boots, Kate Spade bag.

3) What I'm wearing today to run errands and then out to a superbowl party tonight. And it's not leggings, for a change! AG jeans, Ann Taylor tee, Gap cardigan, Munro booties.

4) A bonus pic my DH snapped of me earlier this week in my warmest outdoor garb. I usually wear a lighter coat with a beanie, but he told me it was well below freezing with the wind-chill so I grabbed my full-on winter coat, hat and thickest scarf. I look a bit like the marshmallow man here, but at least I was warm! LL bean puffer, JCrew scarf, Mad Bomber hat.

I love the asymmetrical sweater - great colour for you. And the flap hat is a fun look.

Oh I love 1/2! So arty; perfect for museum going. 3 looks great for a football party too (I didn't realise it was the Superbowl until this am, lol).Your wintry hat is so fun! Luckily I haven't had to buy a puffer yet, but I have the luxury of layering up underneath and then coming back home, so I don't have to figure out what to do with extra layers in an overly heated office.

Eva, I don't know how you managed without one so far! You wool coats are lovely but I would be freezing outside, even with extra layers. Having the option of taking them off at home is big plus too! I'd rather have the heavier outwear and I have a decent amount of cold weather gear left from living in Canada, so even if I don't wear it often anymore, I like keeping it around for emergencies. And in terms of the superbowl, no one's teams of choice were it in but a night with friends is always fun.

Fun backdrop in #2! Lovely sweater with its assymetric hem. That rich shade of purple paired with black really suits you, and I like the blue (cobalt?) of your bag against your purple sweater.

And I am super jealous of your warm coat. My wool coat just isn't cutting it for the colder weather we've been having. And I waited to long-- the ones I hoped to try are sold out for the season.

Another successful skirted leggings outfit! You really look wonderful in jewel tones, such as the deep blue and purple sweaters here. I wonder if you might experiment with a deeper-color scarf, perhaps the same color as your bag, to wear with your puffer coat? The one you're wearing looks fine but blends in with the coat, at least on my screen.

These are all fantastic outfits. I love your EF ensemble -- perfect for gallery going! But the puffer coat and hat take the cake. You look soooooo cozy and practical but also fun.

Jenny, I am so impressed by all the fab DC women I see walking around in chic peacoats the last few weeks. I would have frozen to death! End of season searching is so hard - either you hit the jackpot of sales or find nothing. Good luck with the search!

Windchime, I do love darker scarves. I usually wear a purple and pink plaid scarf but it's not as warm and would have looked even more ridiculous with this hat.

Suz, if by "fun" you mean "funny", ha! But thank you! There is something to be said for staying warm at all costs.
