Not terribly Halloween-y, but I have no special plans today. Just a couple of errands and an afternoon in the studio.

I have been wanting to try pairing these plaid pants with tones of navy and green, rather than black, for a change of pace. I like how this turned out.

I've also been wearing some of my more delicate pieces of jewelry more. This necklace is special to me, and I love the clean contemporary setting.

Plaid jeans: Jolt
Linen sweater: Theory (crazy Loehmans going out of biz sale)
Tank under sweater: Lululemon
Navy leather jacket: Vince (my birthday present)
Ombré cashmere scarf: Saks Off Fifth
Booties: Fossil
Necklace: gift from hubs

Thanks! The jacket was from a little boutique in Baltimore, but I think I found it on Nordstrom's website (never saw it in the Nordstrom around here!). I've attached it in my Finds below (I got it on a discount, but it still wasn't a cheap jacket!). If anyone is interested in a buttery soft leather jacket in this style but in tan, it looks like Nordstrom has that version VERY heavily discounted!

Marmee, I am typically a size 8 in pants, and I got the Jolts in a size 11. Juniors sizing is so weird on me, I never expected they would work. I could have worn a 9 -- they do stretch out, but only after they're laundered, oddly enough. But I wanted them to fit with ease, not like tight skinnies. Hope that helps!

I typically go for a 30 in jeans. Size 8 is usually roughly equivalent to a 29 or 30, but my thighs usually require a 30. BF or slightly roomier cuts I can sometimes get in a 29.

I also love plaid this way - just enough and very natural (to me at least). You look great, the necklace is beautiful and the jacket is divine!

You make me want to risk trying plaid pants! My thighs and I have a ....shall we say.....less than amicable relationship. The thought of plaid stretching this way and that over the lumps and bumps just makes me cringe! I think with all this technology now days, wouldn't if be great if they could scan your body and make pants so the plaid lays straight and perpendicular - essentially photo shopping you but in real life!
