WIW - the other BCBG jacket - YouLookFab Forum

Going in to the studio today, but I'm also going to walk down to the convention center to check out a trade show for interior designers. So I wanted to keep it casual but with a little creative yet professional flair.

I give a lot of love to that long black BCBG jacket from the Boston meetup, but this one is a fab addition to my wardrobe too! Great for letting a peek of emerald show through the sleeves. I'm wearing the scarf while I'm outdoors -- will likely be too warm inside.

Jeans: Gap

Shirt: Calvin Klein (old, probably 8-9 years)
Sequined tank worn as vest: Calvin Klein (also probably 7 or so years old)
Blazer: BCBG
Bag: Calvin Klein
Scarf: JCrew

Too weird that so much from this outfit is CK! That never happens.

Such a cool blazer - love how it's a chameleon. The flairs are great and I love the unexpected sequined tank as vest. You look beautiful in all shades of emerald - very nice!

Nice, Janet! I really like it with the scarf. I think I'd like the sweater shirt blazer combo if the shirt and sweater were more similar in tones or colors--- I'd love to see it with a burgundy blouse and a navy shell, for example.

So question about your zip jacket... How's the sizing? I looked at the length and it's not as long as I expected. But the shoulders and bust may be a concern. Any suggestions, BCBG queen?

I got compliments on the scarf today -- always a popular item. Love the colors!

Una, I seem to swing between a small and a medium in BCBG jackets. The one I'm wearing today is a small, but the zippered long one is a medium. I think it's helpful that it doesn't button or zip closed -- it just hangs but in a structured way, so I think there is a little wiggle room in the size as long as the shoulder fits. If you think you might be between two sizes, I'd go up. I'm usually a 6 in blazers/jackets, sometimes an 8, for comparison's sake.

Angie, thanks for the love for the doggies. Tippi and Sophie will be making the drive to Texas with me in just a couple of weeks -- road trip with pugs! Good thing they travel well. Sunny is healing well -- she needs to keep her latest cast on (she's gone through a few :-() for maybe another week. Jamie is working on training her how to stay away from the backside of the cattle.

Aha. I was wondering how the pugs travelled to the Ranch. I thought they flew with you. That's a LONG drive. At least you'll be in the best company. Hope that Sunny keeps her cast on. xo

Una, this jacket definitely runs on the bigger side - I needed Medium in it and I was size 10 when I tried it on.
