WIW - Holiday party, grey with burgundy boots

I've been busy with the holidays and haven't been able to keep up with the forum as well as usual. Here's a few recent outfits though.

#1 - I wore this to a holiday party for the PTO board members (my DH is the treasurer). Since the kids would be there I wore flat boots although I think heels would have looked better. I layered a sleeveless sparkly silver dress over a black tee shirt. The invite had no dress code details but since it was a dinner party and the hostess had hired a babysitter for the kids, I figured jeans would be too casual. This was the perfect level of dressines.

#2 - Christmas t-shirt with blazer and jeans for casual Friday at work.

#3 - Burgundy boots with grey pants in response to Thistle's thread on colors with grey. I like this although I would like it better if I could repeat the burgundy somewhere else in the outfit. I tried a necklace but it looked strange coming out from under the cowlneck.

Your outfits are adorable as usual...The first worn to the PTO dinner was perfect...I think the flat boots presented the best chic look...Holiday tee and blazer were spot/on and I liked the camel, grey and burgundy ...THX for sharing...

Great looks! Great layering in 1--festive and classy. Love the printed tee in 2 and gorgeous, simple look in 3. I don't think it's necessary to repeat the bootie color up top--looks fab to my eye as is!

That dress is cute! I think #2 is a good date night outfit, yes. #3 I think would be great with one of your signature necklaces.

All three are fab Sara. Regarding jewellery in #3.. I could see a longer length pendant worn with that shaped neck or maybe a large cuff worn over the top of your sleeve perhaps?

Great outfits, Sara! Your first outfit is ingenious, using a tee to add sleeves to your dress. I like the colors together in the last outfit, but I know what you mean about trying to wear a necklace with a cowl neck. It always feels a step too far when I try it. I like the idea of a bracelet.

Love the camel, gray and burgundy--got that going on in my closet and it seems to give versatile options. Your combination is fab.

I think they look great. I've paired long sleeve tops with dresses before as well. It's really helped keep me warm. And I love your blazer and Christmas tee.
