WIW - changing the mood

Here are basically two outfits with a very different mood that I wore in one day, just changing the top and denim jacket in between. I'm glad I don't have to bundle up yet and we're having warm weather once more. And I'm definitely looking forward to my next haircut which is in a week's time.

Do you prefer one look over the other?

Can't pick a fave, as both are stunningly gorgeous!:-) Love the classic bl&navy one, with a twist (the shirt knoted on front, and denim jacket)! And love the other one, a bit more artsy, with the black column, but white graphic peaking out under that strong teal jacket which lightens it all up, and goes fab with your hair! Love the lacey thights, too!

I love them both for different reasons (waving to lyn67 who pretty much said it), but if I must pick then the first one, simply because navy looks great on you, navy + black are great together and denim jacket is excellent topper to a chic colour (or neutrals) combo.

Thanks Lyn and Ornella! I didn't have a preference either. The first was a bit more flattering colorwise and the second one was more comfortable, because I didn't have to fuss with the tee at all. That's more or less why I changed, too.

Both are terrific -- and one of your best silhouettes. I think I have a slight preference for #2. The deep green and print top add a bit of playful energy to deep colors.

You look terrific in both. I prefer 1-2 (without the jacket) because it shows the easy fit of the button down shirt and the tied detail. I also prefer those colors. I like the surprise detail of the fishnet-patterned hose. Good luck with your haircut!

I prefer the second outfit only because WOW, the green jacket is such a stellar and unexpected item! Both are fantastic though.

Thanks Alasse, Beth Ann, Gracie, Una and Sara! I haven't worn the green jacket much recently, so it feels kind of new... It's always nice to rediscover a piece of your wardrobe.

I actually like all the versions of this outfit Astrid - that skirt is so beyond perfect for you and look fab every time you wear it.

Both outfits are fab on you Astrid. That skirt seems to be very versatile. I LOVE teal and the jacket in the last two reads as a slightly bluey green on my monitor. I think this color is slightly better on you with your hair color but all of your outfits are lovely.

Love them both! The second stands out just because of that lovely green, but not sure I can pick a favorite. The textured hose and oxfords are such a cool combination too.

That's exciting you could rebuy. Some of my favourite tights are approaching the ends of their lives, but I don't think they're made any more.
