WIW - a shot of orange

Orange is not a colour I wear too much. But this tank appealed to me for some reason. And I particularly enjoy combining it with this sweater, which has a tendency of revealing my bra straps. So I'm killing two birds with one stone. Again, the colours are somewhat more intense in real life.

I really like the combination of the scarf with the orange. The skirt seems big on you though, I would like to see a different shape bottom - either slimmer pants or a pencil skirt with this length top.

Modgrl, yes the skirt is getting big. I'm trying to squeeze a few more wears out of it before saying goodbye. I didn't realize it was to the point of being obvious though. *sigh*

I agree the skirt looks a little big. I like the horizontal banding of colour stacked in the column though, and the scarf takes the best of your hair and the other colours and unifies them.

Could you alter the skirt? I like the slanting folds in front. The colours on the scarf are really nice for you! I like the orange too - goes very well with the scarf.

I like both outfits. The orange gives a nice fun pop to the subdued (yet still funky) black and brown.

I really like this look on you - the orange is subtle but really makes the outfit more vibrant. But I am an avowed lover of color (orange included) so that should be no surprise! I like it with the scarf - the horizontal light color is slimming and offsets the darker colors.

Harmonica, I really like the skirt too, so I am considering it.

This scarf was a cheapie from a junior shop at the beginning of the summer, and it has turned out to be a bit of a miracle scarf. Those colours will pretend to be almost any other colour, and seem to harmonize with almost anything. It's been great.

Man, Ceit, have you got a memory! Yes, it looks quite different depending on what I wear it with. It's almost gauze-like, so the white will brighten or fade, depending on the colours underneath and the light.

The pop of orange is so fresh! I really like these outfits on you. The skirt is lovely, I support altering it!

Man, I was right beside the tailor's today, wearing the skirt in question, and I didn't think to inquire about costs. Oh well, it will be easier to show them what I want when I don't have it on my body...

Ironically, this is a Joe Fresh (read "budget clothing") skirt I got on clearance. The chances are very good that alterations will cost more than the original. But I suppose it's worth it (within reason).

Love the orange! Now I want more snippets of bright color on you. I suppose if you consider the the time value of money - i.e. time spent searching for a new skirt - it may be worthwhile to pay for the alterations.

I like this outfit, the orange peeking out is just enough to give it a pop. Great scarf, too.

Pil, in this case it's the diagonal pleating off to one side that really gives it a unique character. And the microsuede is such an easy material to maintain, so it manages to be practical at the same time. And the fact that it almost always garners compliments from hubby is not a bad thing either. ;o)

This is such a clever, pretty outfit! Everything is well proportioned both in size and in colour. The hint of orange is very nice. And that scarf! It adds a lot of style.

The orange ties into the scarf nicely. And you could wear the tank and scarf solo for a/c in the heat too!
