I had been looking for a new hooded raincoat for an upcoming trip. We're going to Turkey this winter and it's quite wet and cold then.
I ended up buying a Patagonia Tres which is a 3 in 1 coat. It's a waterproof shell with a hood and a zip out down coat. It can be worn 3 ways - together, or each piece separately. I was also interested in another Patagonia coat that has a synthetic insulated zip out coat. But I found this one in a color I like, and it was on sale. I think it's last year's color, a kind of dark grey, but it also comes in dark blue.
