WIB: New long sleeve tee

I know it's not ideal to spend so much on knit tops, but when I slipped into this one in black I fell in love; butter soft and the neckline is stunning! (Plus, I had a gift card!)

Jenava it looks lovely and by the description I can imagine how lovely it must feel on. It's also pretty versatile so I think you made a wise choice a d it's probably worth every penny. Look forward to seeing you wear it. I do love that neckline:)

Beautiful tee! I have an old Gap boatneck that I love, even though it's worn out now, because of how flattering the neckline is. I'll be watching this one when it goes on sale.

P.S. How was your Chicago trip, did you survive the heat ok?

Jem - the gift card was definitely a deciding factor as well!

DJ - the weather wasn't too bad; I don't mind hot weather so much, actually! I wore a knitted dress with leggings and long shorts with a tank top for the most part and was fairly comfy. Thanks for asking!

I will have to wait till this heat leaves us before I can model it, since I don't have a/c in my house and there's no way I'm putting on long sleeves right now!

I know what you mean, but I have a few long sleeve tops from Theory and one from Vince that I got when my budget was a bit more elastic and my wardrobe was well stocked, and they are really the old reliables I am still reaching for 5 years later. If you can work it into your budget now, it is a gift that will keep giving. Looks like a good choice to me.

I would think this will hold up better than your average knit. I have some older Eileen Fisher that are going on four years and still great. Sometimes it is worth it to spend a bit for a basic.
Lovely neckline - I am mad for boatnecks too.

Ah, but it will no doubt become a wardrobe workhorse for you. Worn once a week, you'll get the CPW down before it wears out. Or if not, you'll REALLY enjoy those wears, and there is something to be said for that too.
