Hello, All! I'm Lee'a. I'm a puppy mommy who's soon to be 36. I'm also in a great relationship but not yet married. I'm an IT Analyst at a Fortune 500 insurance company, where I've worked almost 12.5 years, and I'm also in college pursuing my undergrad in English. Because I attend school part time, I've been a college student FOREVER...around 11 years, but I'm about 28 credits away from the mountain top.

I live in a small town in PA that likes to pass itself off as a city (lol), so no major fashion happenings going on around here. It was major news when we got a H&M and Forever 21 last year. The area is just really "behind" despite being surrounded by other metropolitan cities. But it's home, right? Years ago I could've moved away to a big city that offered more and was fashion forward and fashion conscious (and trust me, I considered it thousands of times). But at some point, being with my family became more important, so my mother and grandmother (RIP) and two young nieces took precedence over trendy boutiques to shop and swanky eateries. So I travel to fill that void, my bestie lives in NYC so I try to go there at least once a year. I don't regret not moving, because there is much I would've missed here had I left.

With all that being said, I don't let where I am influence WHO I am. I love fashion and beauty and just seek out other ways of connecting with people with similar interests (like here!). I would've loved a career in the fashion or beauty industry, but I've created an outlet for myself as an alternative. I have my personal style blog and I've had the wonderful opportunity to help other women, locally, discover their personal style. So, I treat these concrete streets as my personal runway and help other women find their fabulous!

I used to read YLF years and years ago, and I'm excited for the new content and having a chance to connect with all of you ladies!

Hi All,
I've been reading this blog for a few months now and decided to join in. I currently live on the east coast but have lived on the west coast and Midwest in the past. I crossed the big 4-0 over a year ago, and with that made some changes in my work life. I used to work from home and my wardrobe consisted of sweats, jeans, shorts. Realizing that I am ready to join the office life again, I was able to find a great company and am so happy to be going to the office every day. It was also fun rebuilding my work wardrobe, which is still somewhat in progress.

I've enjoyed reading all the great feedback, see great outfit suggestions and become a member of YLF community.

Hi all,

After about a year of reading YLF I recently joined. I'm a struggling minimalist, trying to really get my wardrobe down to some key favorite pieces and not fill it up with stuff I don't have time or occasion to wear.

I enjoy seeing real women working their style and can't wait to join the party.

I'm mountainwave, turning 47 next month. One daughter, 23, who is also new to style.
Been reading YLF blog and after, oh, a year noticed this forum.
So I signed up.
I'm in the western US.
While I wear a uniform for work, I do try to be stylish outside of the job, maybe. Hopefully.

I'm 5-2, 140. Long red hair.

Um hi?

I'm Ashleigh (duh XD)
I'm 18, on my last year of school. I live in New Zealand!

This is the first year of my life where I don't have school uniform and it's rrally freaking me out, I get up in the morning and look at my clothes and almost have a breakdown some mornings. I make some of my own clothes when I can or get second-hand but I do't own much, it's just too expensive. So I really need more advice on how to wear what I already have.

I'm an aspiring blogger, but so far it's not going very well, more due to a bad admin than anything else - oh and time. School and study takes up a lot now.

I guess I'm here to get some advice, maybe give some? Not sure really I'll see how this goes.

Hi everyone,
I'm Eva, 25, and a fairly newlywed German grad student.
Between growing up a commited tomboy (ew, skirts) and former 'scene kid' (hello, neon animal print and What Do You Mean It's Too Warm For Black Leather?) I'm... probably not the most fashionable person around.
With my impending entry into the suit-wearing working world and overall quest to get a grip on this whole 'adulting' business, I think I'm making pretty good progress towards figuring out what works for me though.

I'm looking forward to learning all I can from you guys and hopefully contributing some myself!

Greetings everyone,
My Name is Tina, I am 56 years old and feel like I'm in a fashion rut. After working in an office for over 16 years, I have been working out of my home for the last four. Unfortunatley even after four years, I still don't have a grasp on a casual work at home wardrobe. I tend to purchase clothes that aren't 'right' for my current lifestyle -- either too dressy or too casual. I recently started taking selfies of my everyday outfits and feel I'm a bit off as to colors too. I often wonder how did I get this old and not have this all figured out yet?

I've been a avid reader of the YouLookFab blog for a while and have learned a great deal from it. Hoping to learn even more by joining this forum. Wish I lived in the Seattle area -- I would love to become a client of Angie's.

I'm Magda. I live in Los Angeles. I'm an actress, writer, and producer -- living the LA dream! I love fashion and finding great deals. I prefer classic, simple, understated styles. I always love retro styles that had simple yet very feminine cuts, especially in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.I believe YOU should wear the dress, instead of having the dress wear you. Your clothing should make you and your body look good, instead of merely being currently trendy. I've just joined YLF and am looking forward to meeting all you wonderful people!

Hi

I live in the UK, am in my mid-30s and live a mostly business casual and casual life. I'm trying to upgrade my wardrobe away from plain whilst continuing to take advantage of uniforms and comfort.

Hi all!

I'm Stephanie - a newbie here - but have been following the YLF blog for quite some time. I wanted to join in on all the fun

I'm 26 and work full time in marketing, but my true passion has always been for the arts. While my full time job does allow for some creativity, I like to spend my free time reading, traveling, writing for my personal blog on life as a twenty-something and taking photographs. I spend a few Sundays per month volunteering at my local animal shelter taking photos to help dogs get adopted and also freelance as a wedding photography "second shooter" aka assistant.

My personal style has always been all over the place. I tried out the preppy and edgy looks in high school, then worked in retail all through high school and college (at Aerie and ATL) in which I'd describe myself as trendy/feminine. Now, at 26 and in the working world, I admit I am a bit lost right now. I have a small, functional wardrobe but it just seems to be missing the "me" factor.

I'm in the wardrobe overhaul stage of my life, seeking a wardrobe that makes me feel confident, a little edgy/sexy, and put together. I love color, especially earthy tones, and love finding basic pieces with interesting details. I look forward to meeting and conversing with everyone else on the forum here!

Hi all! I'm a former English and Spanish teacher turned SAHM, starting to casually dip my toes back into the working world by tutoring, editing, and substitute teaching.

I'm a New Englander who's been stranded in the middle of the Mojave (Las Vegas, baby!) for the past two years. My husband and I are avid hikers and travellers, pretty much always accompanied by our dog and our 19 month old son!

Since I lead a pretty high-energy/outdoorsy lifestyle, my wardrobe shopping typically prioritizes durability over style, but luckily performance clothing has improved A LOT design-wise over the past few years.

I'm a yang-gamine body type with winter coloring. My perfect everyday outfit is a pair of vintage 501s, a breton top, and a pair of Chuck Taylors in a fun color. Unrepentant tomboy here, though I do love me a little black dress. Much of my wardrobe is thrifted, but I've recently started adding a few brand-new pieces to replace the things that are (literally!) coming apart at the seams. My goal here is to build a modest little back-to-work wardrobe out of classic, but still fun/unique, staples.

Have been reading YLF for quite some time and really enjoy it. Just recently discovered there is a forum, so tried to join a few weeks ago. However, for some reason that did not work out. Decided to try it again today and it worked!

I retired four years ago from my position of being in charge of the Labor and Employee Relations Section as Human Resources Specialist Supervisor. Although I truly loved my job, I decided it was time to retire at the age of 71. I love being retired and never ever get bored. I honestly don't understand why so many retirees state that they get bored.

I am currently losing weight and have 50 more pounds to go. Yahoo! I have lost the pounds by simply eating less of all of the things I like to eat. Recently, my aged stomach has been telling me that there may be a few items I need to eliminate from my food intake - for example, beef.

My body type is top-heavy hourglass. I was always too chicken to opt for breast reduction. I am sort of averse to pain of any kind.

I used to purge my closet every six months, but sadly the last time my closet was purged was about three years ago. Need to get back into the every six months mode.

Since retiring my main style of dress is casual - jeans and tops. And sometimes PJs or nightgowns for the day; naturally, I never answer the door when the doorbell rings or someone knocks when I am in that fashion-of-the-day.

I love shoes, they are my weakness. Have too many pairs. This is one area I just can't seem to curtail my yearnings, but am trying to get better at that.

Have loved talking, but will stop my ambling for now.

Hi There! My name is Flora, and here is my introduction.

After graduating from a university with a degree in business, I decided to pursue a career in fashion, the industry that I have a great amount of passion for. To start off my career, I worked for a renowned fast-fashion company under its international business division. I learned a lot from my experience there, but my desire to help others in need while pursuing and doing something I love in the industry never left my mind. I was more afraid of not taking a chance to pursue my dream and embark on a new journey than leaving behind a secured job. So, I finally had the courage to give my leave of notice and began an online store called Stylevase, a project I started with my passion to help and the simple idea of giving back while providing one-of-a-kind beautifully wearable vintage pieces to remarkable individuals from around the world.

I am excited and hopeful for this new chapter in my life. My team and I want to create opportunities to put smiles on your face each day, whether you’re shopping online from our Stylevase store, reading our posts on this Stylevase blog, or wherever you come to find us. We want to grow with you, learn and inspire each other, and never doubt that we can make the world a better place than it was yesterday. I believe that with support from incredible individuals like you, we can create a successful online shopping platform together that inspire others to give back and make a true difference in the world, one garment at a time. I thank you so much for taking the time to read my introduction, and I am looking forward to getting to know you as well.

You inspire me and my team to be the best that we can be each day.

“You may say I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one. I hope someday you will join us. And the world will live as one.” – John Lennon

With Love,

Flora Rozi, Founder & Chief Happiness Officer of Stylevase

Any Mums in this forum? I am studying fashion and currently carrying out market research for childrenswear! Please mums could you fill out my survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RXV5PGN

hello all! 34 yo working mom here to my 4yo son & have a 15 week bun in the oven. I work for a start up tech company in the silicon valley & love social media, traveling, playing hard & of course, fashion! Fashion wise, I would say my style definitely fluctuates depending on my mood. I range anywhere between tomboy comfort to boho eclectic chic. I love flowy comfortable tops paired over skinny jeans & sandals or boots.

I have a boyish shape, have always been small chested and hardly have anything you'd call a waist! I'm athletic build with broad strong shoulders, a long torso and short legs (i'm 5'6). I wear size 10-12 and I'm the largest I've ever been since high school I never lost the extra baby weight with my 1st but am determined to lose it and get back into my fighting shape (size 5-7) after baby! I tend to carry my weight in the belly area unfortunately, it never seems to go where you want it (boobs please!)

I basically live in tunic style tops, undershirts that are long enough to cover my butt over leggings. Since becoming a mom, i've realized that I want to stay stylish but comfort is huge. I love boots but don't wear any with heels over 3 inches anymore. I love flats, sandals & flip-flops though i hate my feet. haha! Jeggings, skinny jeans & black leggings are life! i hate styles that are over the top...too much bling, grommets, etc are just tacky to me.

Hi. I am a globetrotting SAHM, between part-time jobs. I have lived in the Midwest, East Coast, South Pacific, Europe and most recently West Africa, all of which have influenced my fashion. Presently I live in the D.C. area and finally have the chance to refine and build my winter wardrobe before going back to Eastern Europe.

I am in my early 40s and weigh about 200 lbs. and am 5'6. I finally, finally bought a pair of knee-high boots (extended calf) and was looking for the best ways to style them. That lead me back to YLF. Back when I read the site religiously a few years ago, all portions were publicly available. I enjoyed see all the photos for inspiration, but thought that level of visibility was beyond my own comfort level. So I am happy portions of the site are private and I am happy to participate on my way to a fab plus-sized winter wardrobe.

My name is Rebecca and I am 23 years old. I have always been thin and I have very long legs - making me seem taller than I am. I am 5 feet 5 inches. I have lived 30min outside of NYC my entire life and it has definitely influenced my style and who I am through the years. I actually lived in NYC for one year before deciding I needed suburbia back in my life!

Hello I am new! I am 23 and am a recent college grad. I love the tailored look of the 1950s and 60s but can't afford them YET. For now I am a thrift store, consignment shop, ebay and etsy recessionista!

So happy to be part of the group! I've been reading the blog for years and decided it was time to jump in.

I'm 52, a mother of 2 school-aged boys, the wife of a crazy-busy executive and the owner of a marketing consulting business. Although I love clothes, I don't have much time to shop. My fashion bad habit is buying "good enough" instead of waiting for the perfect piece to add to my closet. I'm trying to live by the rule of few better things.

I'm 5'5" and weight 150 lbs with a pear-shaped body. Looking forward to getting involved in this forum.

Hello!

I"m a forty-something working Mother of one, and I order most of my clothes online, hoping to gain feedback on some of my choices before I buy (because I stink at returning things that don't work).

I'm 5'5", small frame, trying to buy a few stylish items that are priced well to help me feel beautiful no matter what my hair/skin/health is doing at the moment. My current indulgence is a pair of cowgirl boots, hoping to put together a boho ensemble for family photos in the Spring, and I'm intimidated by so many choices.

Looking forward to connecting with everyone!

Hi everyone.

Like Robin, a few posts above, I have read the YLF blog for a while and always enjoy the thoughtful comments that are posted by the YLF community. So I thought I should join in. Photo will follow.

I love clothes, shoes and bags and deciding what to wear. I'm happiest with an extended capsule wardrobe - so most stuff has to fit together, but with several colour options etc. I am such a duplicate buyer, it isn't funny. Plus I wear a scarf every day. I have blogged about fashion before, but now focus on food allergies (it has become the more pressing thing). I work in the civil service, with universities - so I need to look smart, but I can be quite creative. For me that means funky (flat or wedge) shoes/boots and usually draped layers. Never suits or overly formal.

I really like the supportive feeling of this forum, and the creative approach that Angie takes with her blogging and in her outfits.

Hello,
Im Makala. Im a 22 year old mom with a whirlwind of a daughter. Im 5ft3,150lbs, and im an autumn with an olive skin tone. Ive always loved fashion but been so intimidated by dressing myself, i stuck with often baggy and just comfortable clothes. Im a tomboy so pratical is a big factor as well.

Ive finally decided to start redoing my wardrobe, and get out of my comfort zone. However, due to some unforseen circumstances, money is going to be a bit tight.

I guess what im hoping for is to figure out how to wear some of the clothes in the back of my closet and find a few filler pieces. I love thrift stores and garage sells and often find quirky pieces i love but never know what i would do with .

Hi I'm new how do I load photos

Hello, Angie and everyone! I can't remember how I found you. (Twitter maybe?) It was a few years ago, but I really only started following in earnest recently. Starting from zero with my wardrobe this year. Delighted to have found this community.

Hi all,
I hope it's okay for men to join, hehe. Fashion is an interest of mine, especially all tops with collars, be it polo, dress shirts, etc.

Hello to all who may see this! I'm Alex, (Alexondra is for the sake of not being the 500th Alex on this site) and I recently graduated with my BA in English Literature. That leaves me a lot of time to develop new and other aspects of myself that don't revolve around my academic career. I recently began branching out to a more mature style of fashion in my last semester of college, which was perfect for transitioning to my first office job a month after graduation! I used to think I was terrible at fashion, but I really was just growing into my own. I am now learning how to better dress for my body type while remaining classic and classy and I look forward to lurking on the boards to gain ideas for my personal collection. I have also discovered my love for fashion and interior design blogs and have found that these things aid in my writing and editing job that is completely in the marketing field. I'm talking too much now, but fashion and style are wonderful avenues to pursue for all people, and I'm glad I'm among great minds.

Hello, I am Val. I am 40, mom of 2 kids, work from home. Most of the time I am in sweat pants, jeans and leggings with some loose top. Boooring. Every time I have to dress up (wedding, party), I buy some dress in a hurry that I don't really like and never wear again. I have been following Angie's outfit posts for a while, but only recently took interest in forum. I would like to get inspired by real people's fashion choices, hopefully get advice, learn how to buy more flattering dressy clothes. I am 5'4, about 115 lbs, boy-shaped.

Hi! I just realized I never formally introduced myself. Excusé moi!

I'm Sonja, a homeschooled American (loud and proud, lol) teen, dancer (ballet and jazz), pianist, amateur photographer, Polyvore user, and fandom geek (Narnia, LotR, PotC, Indiana Jones, Downton Abbey, and Star Wars).
I've done a tad of acting and singing too.

I'm 5 ft. 5 inches (possible add a 1/2 inch?), strong boned (and headstrong), and a total klutz when music isn't playing.
I've been into fashion since I was 9 or so but it's spiked in the past few years. I love looking at red carpet looks (mostly for the jewelry) and I'm still looking for my own style.
I like vintage styles but I don't really wear them. I wear a mix of boho, chic, and edgy. Okay, through a bit of preppy and classic in too while we're at it.

I think ya'll will get to know me better in the future but for now, that's all I can think of!
Ciao!!!!

I'm Shawn. I am a 43 w/o retired Army Veteran. I am a 5ft 3.5 in adorable Apple. I weigh around 165lbs. I am trying to lose this extra 25lbs of retirement weight as I cannot fit ANY of my clothes and what I can wear looks horrible and uncomfortable on me. I look forward to lots of helpful information and styling ideas from everyone. I love the site already!
