Jenny H, I have custom orthotics for my very high arches also - water can run under my feet. It feels so nice to take the weight off the ball of my foot when I wear them! Do your orthotics have the metatarsal support bump?

Greyscale-- yup, my custom orthotics and all the other inserts that I wear when those don't work all have that metatarsal support.

my feet are usualy 41 euro, 8 uk
long and narrow, really long toes, and beginning bunnions
I have no idea if my arches are high, guess - normal
finding shoes that are long enough to my toes, and narrow enough for the rest of foot to stay in the shoe is tricky, especially more open shoes like ballerina flats. And of course no stiff leather for bunnions.

I own several pairs of german brand tamaris, they seem to fit if the shape of shoe is good. Clarks also seem like a good option.

Late to this one, but think closest foot doubles might be Janet, Carter, Rae. I have 8.5 / 39 feet, narrow, bony, flat, supinators (my yoga and pilates teachers are trying to help me strengthen my inner ankles and make an arch.) I also have some kind of problem with my right big toe from running, that makes it feel stiff. I need to get that sorted. I love and wear heels but the balls of my feet would be happier with more padding.

I just bought a pair of Chie Mihara heels that might be the happiest thing my feet have encountered in ages.

I checked out Chie Mihara, they have interesting shoes, what style have you bought?

These http://www.chiestore.com/cania_1179.3php but white. I got mine from Amazon. They are a tiny bit more vintage-y than I might usually wear but I really love them,

now I went and had a look at your WIW imho black ones are quite dull, but white ones looks just perfect - good choise
